[edit] Ron Baechle
Seems non-notable to me. Anyone else agree? Tavix (talk) 02:51, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Seems notable enough to me. He's the primary subject of a New York Times article (already used as a reference), plus he's been featured in at least two articles in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. That should be enough to satisfy WP:N.Zagalejo^^^ 03:09, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Delete. Of local interest only. Human interest stories don't provide notability, just "it was a slow news day." Corvus cornixtalk 04:21, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Merge into St. Louis Blues (hockey) just as Fireman Ed (a roughly analogous fan for the Jets) has a four-sentence bit at the end of the New York Jets article.--Ig8887 (talk) 05:24, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

- Changing my vote to Delete now that all information in this article now exists in the St. Louis Blues (hockey) article. Effectively, this is still a merge, but one that, it turns out, had already mostly been done before the AfD existed. --Ig8887 (talk) 06:40, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Merge. As per Ig8887's recommendation.BWH76 (talk) 11:16, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. The article does seem short on facts, but could be expanded based on the NY Times source already there and others that exist. He passes WP:BIO's basic criteria: he's the subject of published secondary source material, etc. – jaksmata 21:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Based on your criteria, we could have articles on Rasheda Browne, Efrain Velazquez, Yeji Jung and Albert An. Corvus cornixtalk 22:45, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Not true. Those people were mentioned in one article - they weren't the subject, they were incidental to the subject, which was commuting to school. Those people could be substituted with any one of the many other students who commute. The towel man was the subject of multiple articles in the NY times and in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Also, it's not my criteria, I'm using Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Basic_criteria. – jaksmata 03:13, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

- I can support a merge to St. Louis Blues (hockey). Corvus cornixtalk 22:39, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Merge as per Corvus cornix unless we are capable of writing more than a couple of sentences. Capitalistroadster (talk) 22:53, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

- Comment Actually, he already has a two sentence section in the Blues article, under St. Louis Blues (hockey) #Traditions Tavix (talk) 02:02, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
-
- OK, then--I've added the NY Times reference to that section in the Blues article, along with another sentence about how long he has been doing it. That article now has more info on this guy than his own article, and I am changing my vote above to Delete. --Ig8887 (talk) 06:40, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Keep, borderline but appears to meet WP:NOTABILITY based on the press coverage. JASpencer (talk) 19:27, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
