The result was speedy keep. While I may not like professional wrestling all that much, I do know winning the WWF Championship shows notability. Non admin closure. Kwsn(Ni!) 23:03, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

This is being nominated for deletion because the subject arguably fails WP:BIO due to a lack of multiple non-trivial sources. There has been a huge back-and-forth controversy about reliable sources and several trolls feel it absolutely necessary to reinstate unsourced material at any cost, spitting in the face of our verifiability policies.     • Please provide a rationale based in policy for inclusion of this article, as WP:ILIKEIT is generally discounted. If "the project" (known for vote-stacking) wants this article so badly, perhaps they can locate a reliable source or two. Burntsauce 21:24, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
      • I agree that it needs references, but this is going too far. He CLEARLY passes WP:BIO, please provide actual policy that says this article should be deleted other than "It lacks sources".       • Scorpion0422, please try to WP:AGF and avoid strawman arguments here. Either the sources exist or they do not. I will happily withdraw my nomination if this article is corrected, but for now it most definitely fails several core policies and guidelines. Burntsauce 21:36, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Comment As can be seen by other wrestling articles, the sources for these articles exist. However it's hard, time consuming work sourcing so many (There are 31 separate roster categories alone) articles that span so many years, especially with people going out of their way to blank, then try to delete them.   • Speedy Keep Notable wrestler who once defeated Hulk Hogan and was a long time champion who participated in multiple main events. Those facts can easily be attributed by reliable sources if not now, eventually thus justifying keeping the article. MrMurph101 22:02, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Speedy Keep Wow, this is just ridiculous. He appeared at multible WWF PPVs and TV Shows, even headlining a PPV. If Burnt is just going to keep nominating obviously notable articles, maybe his account should be blocked from editing wikipedia? Kris 22:14, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Very Obvious Strong Keep Hmm...former WWF champion, I remember he was at WrestleMania IX and X, clearly a notable and widely-known person. A citation problem is just that--a problem. Unlike most articles that are deleted bacause appropriate citations do not exist, this article contains a good deal of factual and citeable information, it's just that it's lacking the appropriate citations. Tag it for that, but deleting it altogether is ridiculous. Calgary 22:55, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Keep - the point of reliable sources is to back up notability; notability can exist even if sources are currently lacking. Given the numerous books written about professional wrestling, I suggest someone heads to the library. Deletion is not clean-up -- you're looking for clean-up here. Or do some Googling:
