The result was redirect to List of characters in Tales of Symphonia. I have left the history of the article behind the redirect if anything further needs to be merged, although most of the pertinent info is already there. Neil ☎ 11:17, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Presea Combatir
Non-notable fictional character. Article is a summary of the character's in-universe personality and role with no real-world context or significance, which fails WP:NOT#PLOT. No substantial coverage in secondary sources to indicate notability per WP:FICT. "'Presea Combatir' -wikipedia" on Google returns non-reliable fansites and forums and trivial mentions. Without reliable secondary sources independent of the subject to establish notability, it's impossible to rewrite or cleanup the article in such way that it doesn't fail WP:FICT and/or some clause of WP:NOT. - Keep - Examining Presea Combatir without looking at Colette Brunel, Lloyd Irving, Genis Sage, Raine Sage, Kratos Aurion, Zelos Wilder, Sheena Fujibayashi, Regal Bryant, and List of characters in Tales of Symphonia doesn't make any sense. This really isn't a good issue for AfD: probably, Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games should be alerted to the verifiability problems with these articles and should make a decision as to which ones to keep, which ones to delete, and which ones to abridge. --Hyperbole 07:23, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Every article should be notable in its own right. If examining these characters as one large group is the only fair indicator of their notability then I doubt they are notable enough individually to have their own articles. Best case, you are looking at a combined list, but I don't know how much verifiable, non-plot summary information is in any of these articles. Do reliable secondary sources exist for anybody from this series? Currently, as far as I can tell, they all fail WP:FICT and WP:NOT#PLOT. Doctorfluffy 16:39, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Neutral, Leaning Keep. From my knowledge of the source material, her role in it is pretty minor. As for the WP:NOT#PLOT issue the article doesn't seem to have too much of a plot summary. VivioFateFan (Talk, Sandbox) 09:05, 6 November 2007 (UTC)- Huh? The article is almost entirely plot summary, even if the section headers aren't named as such. The History and Other sections are clearly a reiteration of events, and the Personality section is just an in-universe description of her personality based on events in the plot. There is nothing at all in the entire page that shows real-world context or importance. I suppose some of it could be OR, not plot summary, if the material isn't mentioned directly in-game, but then obviously it's failing a different policy. Doctorfluffy 16:39, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

- Merge per WP:FICT to List of characters in Tales of Symphonia. I agree with Hyperbole, though, that examining only one article of the suite doesn't make much sense. —Quasirandom 16:36, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- I responded to Hyberbole's point above. Doctorfluffy 16:39, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Comment: That's right, we must delete this trivial article that's only useful to a few thousand people in order to save electrons. Remember, save those electrons, they're more important than you think. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.139.148.100 (talk) 18:10, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
