The result was withdraw Rowan Joffe's BAFTA awards and nominations make him notable, while Nathalie Lunghi's starring role in new ITV1 drama also makes her notable. Egdirf (talk) 00:24, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Nathalie Lunghi
A very short article which does not assert her notability. Although her parents are well established actors in their own right, her imdb entry only has three credits Egdirf (talk) 20:07, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
I am also nominating the following related pages because, again, it is a very short article and the actor has only a handful of credits]:
- Keep Although these are short articles, I believe both these actors are noteworthy, and the information on them will expand over time. I will happily do this, but would need to do some research on the subject first. For now though, I will point out that Rowan Joffe in particular has received nominstions snd awards for his work as a director; while Nathalie Lunghi has had roles in some notable films. On top of this, they have notable parents - Roland Joffe and Cherie Lunghi in Nathalie Lunghi's case, and Rowan Joffe and Jane Lapotaire in Rowan Joffe's case. - Weak keep for Rowan due to BAFTA awards and nominations. Delete Nathalie, notability is not inherited, and her roles are much too small. Clarityfiend (talk) 14:29, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Rowan Joffé, Delete Nathalie Lunghi The former's award nominations and press coverage (both recent and in the past) suggest he will go on to affirm and increase his notability. The latter is, I'm afraid, merely a name in a credits list (for the time being—things can change). --Popplewick (talk) 14:38, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Rowan Joffe and Redirect Nathalie Lunghi to Cherie Lunghi. Then mention something about Nathalie in her mother's article. Something along the lines of "Cherie's daughter, Nathalie, is also an actress. Her roles include . . ." Seems a fair enough solution to me. Brochco (talk) 16:04, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment Actually, I see Nathalie does have a mention there, but more could be made of it in the way I have suggested. Brochco (talk) 16:07, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment I think that's a good compromise. I'd support that. Paul20070 (talk) 12:39, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment I can see this point but disagree. I found the existence of this article useful simply so as to find out whether Nathalie Lunghi is related to Cherie Lunghi or whether the unusual surname was just a coincidence. So I think this article should remain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Browne-Windsor (talk • contribs) 09:44, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment Which is one of the reasons I created the article in the first place. I'm actually in favour of it being kept, but feel a redirect is preferable to a delete. The article can always be reprised as her career progresses and more information on her becomes available. Paul20070 (talk) 12:40, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

- Comment Is this the same Nathalie Lunghi as the one about to star in The Palace, an ITV series due to start on Monday? (And if so, does that have a bearing on this discussion?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by KittyRainbow (talk • contribs) 21:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- There can't be two women with the same name - as Lunghi is an unusual name, so I hope so. I actually feel quite bad about nominating this article for deletion. It was done in a rash moment, and as a response to comments made on the afd discussion for Natasha Collins. Am I allowed to withdraw the afd nomination? Egdirf (talk) 23:16, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think withdrawing is allowed? I've seen other people do it, anyway. -- KittyRainbow (talk) (remembering to sign this time) 23:55, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
