[edit] Nate Mattson
AfDs for this article:
Previously nominated for deletion in January, since then the article has gotten worse instead of better. No sources have been added (only sources are his MySpace page, and a removed link to Obessed With Wrestling, which if you go there states he helped write his profile), and the body of the article has deteriorated into being mainly a list of places he’s worked and people he’s wrestled. Article states he is currently wrestling for Boarder City Wrestling and several non notable promotions (i.e. Xtreme Intense Championship Wrestling, New Vision Pro Wreslting). Basically this is a badly written article for a non notable independent wrestler. Nenog 04:18, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

- Keep, listed in the PWI 500 two years running, and verifiable using google news and news archive. Note that the link was incorrectly removed[1]. The Blacklist currently blocks "\bobsessedwithwrestling\.com\/columns\/jonathanbarber", so it was only supposed to apply to one specific column, not the entire site. However, the site is currently down. The previous Afd was only in February this year, and it was a resounding keep. What has changed? John Vandenberg 03:36, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Comment So what if he was in PWI 500, a lot of people are (500 to be exact) and not all of them are notable. Robin Knightwing was also in the PWI 500 for 2005 and 2006, and both times he was ranked higher than Mattson, so does that make him notable enough for Wikipedia? Nenog 04:01, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- I cant answer that question without doing unnecessary research, but fwiw, Robin Knightwing has less news articles. Has there been any discussion on WP:PW on whether these borderline wrestlers could be merged into articles that are broader in scope? John Vandenberg 05:15, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

- No, it's best only to create articles to which we can get good sources, if we can't get good sources for an individual bio then why merge a bunch of non-notable articles to create one giant non-notable article? Darrenhusted 19:50, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

- I would be heavily in favor of catch-all WCW, ECW alumni-type articles with a snippet of information about wrestlers not notable enough for a proper page. As it stands, not sure if Amazing N8 is notable enough for his own area, although he might merit a brief career synopsis on a midwest-area independent wrestlers page. --DanZero 16:29, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
