No independent sources are given that would support the notability of this mixtape per WP:MUSIC. I consider the PROD contested since an IP user inserted the following text into the article: "This mixtape is notable primarily because it marries MF Doom production loved by hardcore hip-hop fans with raps from reknowned emcee Nas from what is widely considered his most disappointing album, its chief shortcoming being the beats." While this is personal comment rather than evidence of notability, it seems that someone objects the deletion. B. Wolterding (talk) 16:08, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Keep While this is a mixtape, Wikipedia is chock full of extremely similar entries. Browse through Category:Mashup albums, Category:Bootleg albums, and Category:Remix albums, all linked at the bottom of the page. As a fan of hip-hop and numerous other genres, many of these albums/mixtapes I've never heard of, but I've known of Nastradoomus since it was first released 5 years ago. It is indeed notable because it is a blend of beats by MF Doom and raps from Nas, two notable hip-hop artists, that is cherished by each artist's fans, many whom believe this "saves" the original Nastradamus album by substituting the original music with something "better." Set aside your personal views on hip-hop music and culture; there is no logical reason to single out this compilation for deletion. 216.185.5.254 (talk) 16:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
  • When used correctly though, these comparisons are important as the encyclopedia should be consistent in the content that it provides or excludes. The problem arises when legitimate comparisons are disregarded without thought because "other stuff existing is not a reason to keep/create/etc." from WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS.   • Since when? Discogs is a very reliable source and provides the most comprehensive discographies of electronic and hip-hop music on the Net. The Discogs references are sources for the tracklistings, label, and years of release, and the forum post and Amazon user comments show that fans appreciate this mixtape.
