[edit] Mediocre American Man Trilogy

I don't think it should be deleted, but it was "prodded" and I believe it may be contestable. I think it may be kept if in fact a real thing (I know the two films are intended to be part of a loose trilogy, but am not sure if it was named). Tim Thomason 00:57, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

• Merge to Will Ferrell. I don't believe there are really enough sources formally treating this as a trilogy besides the arguably jocular comments of the creators. --Dhartung | Talk 09:14, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
• Delete (I placed the prod), or merge as per Dhartung if there is anything to merge. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, and the article for the claimed third movie has been deleted three times for the same reason. There are various rumor sites that refer to a third film, but I could not find any reliable sources on the topic. Removing Wikipedia from the search above causes the yield to drop to under 200 hits. Most of the article is original synthesis pointing out similarities between the two existing movies. Dekimasuよ! 00:36, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

• Delete until we get reliable sources for the third movie. I am inherently sceptical of claims that an actor will play Rusty Butt. It sounds like a name Bart Simpson would use in a call to Moe's. Capitalistroadster (talk) 05:00, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
  • I don't think the unverified third movie should have any bearing on this page. It should cover the two films and mention the intention of Ferrell for a third movie of some type. All the Rusty whatchamacallit references should be removed from Wikipedia obviously.--Tim Thomason 23:06, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
