[edit] Making an entrance
Contested Prod. This reads like an Original Research essay to explain a theatrical term which is possibly best left to Wiktionary as per WP:DICT. There are no sources to support the essay. SilkTork *SilkyTalk 08:15, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - Phrases don't really belong in a dictionary and this is a legitimate concept for an encyclopedia. Yes it needs some work and the references are poor, but it just needs some love and attention. violet/riga (t) 09:38, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, original research about a fairly NN movie cliché. --Dhartung | Talk 10:19, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't say it was a NN movie cliché - it's a very important part of most films and theatrical productions and the examples listed are well known and influential. violet/riga (t) 11:02, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Weak Keep Sources can, and need to, be added, but it's an essential part of theater-- acting, writing, directing are all built around entrances, exits, and standing in a certain place ("finding your mark"). It is a cliche' outside of theater, where "being dramatic" or "theatrics" can be inappropriate behavior. It's not seen as often in film, where, unlike a stage play, the scene can be changed in 1/24 of a second. Mandsford 12:11, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
