[edit] Lungbutter
non-notable neologism, AND a non-notable collection of punk rock bands. No reliable sources for any of them. Lankiveil (talk) 06:40, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- There are a considerable number of articles about bands and musical trends. I think it is notable that there is a trend in the naming of bands with the exact same name. The wiki entry does not tread on any copyrights, nor is it a vanity page. If anything it serves to make the bands sharing the same name aware of each other. I have also tried to include references to other articles and sources. Calaveras6 (talk) 07:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- So please explain how this does not contravene our Wikipedia:No original research policy, by citing sources where these data have already been synthesized in this way. Uncle G (talk) 14:34, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Eww like Delete man - as per nom. Xdenizen (talk) 07:28, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. No reliable sources, refers to more than one thing, none of which appear notable.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 08:23, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. Article reads as confusing, but that's not why. Nothing in here is either notable or not a dicdef for a slang term for mucus. Remove that content, and you have...well, nothing. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 17:26, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment. The Canadian Lungbutter band did release an album nationally, so that might warrant an article on them to be retained, though if this occurs I would seek out confirmation that they disbanded "after the death of their drummer" as this fact needs to be sourced under WP:BLP, especially if said musician is not actually dead... 23skidoo (talk) 15:48, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- If that were the case, we could probably make the article about the band in question, just have to make sure it doesn't run afoul of WP:MUSIC. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 22:36, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
