[edit] The Daedalus Encounter

The Daedalus Encounter (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) (delete) – (View AfD)

This is just the plot of a video game, in loving detail. Delete per WP:PLOT. Tony Sidaway 05:57, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Keep this article on the notable video game, but delete the excessive plot summary. Jfire (talk) 06:56, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, looks like it was a finalist (didn't win) for an award called the Codies some times in the mid-1990s. Precious little else about it, except the hiring of actress Tia Carrere (later known as the woman from Relic Hunter). Is this enough for an article? Maybe a redirect to Tia Carrere's article? --Tony Sidaway 07:13, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Keep, it was reviewed by Entertainment Weekly[72] and got 4 stars in Macworld[73]. I've read it was reviewed in the July 1995 issue of PC Gamer magazine and also in the November 1995 issue of GamePro magazine. Help could be enlisted at WP:VG/M. --Pixelface (talk) 08:50, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Keep, I seem to remember reading about this in some gaming mags when I was a kid. Coverage certainly exists. Lankiveil (complaints) 12:34, 12 February 2008 (UTC).
  • Keep Full-motion video (FMV) games are sort of the genre that time forgot, as unlike adventure or fighting games they never really picked up much of a cult following among retro games enthusiasts and as a result don't get talked about much anymore. But this was notable in its day as a big-budget example of its genre, including starring Tia Carrere of Wayne's World fame. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 12:48, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah I think I'm convinced. Would somebody like to snow this as a keep? Who was she in Wayne's World? ....Garth, is that you? --Tony Sidaway 15:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Keep. Notable game with notable cast members, award finalist, groundbreaking game for its time. If the plot summary is too long, that's a content issue, not an AFD one. 23skidoo (talk) 15:08, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
