- Delete. This is NN, self-promotion, and/or vanity. Bala is a very small town in the Muskoka tourist/vacation region of Ontario. The most notable thing about it is that Goldie Hawn once had a vacation home in the area. Running a tiny local museum and piggy-backing on the visit of a famous author is not notability.
