[edit] Larry the Noodle Maker
A Google search for "Larry Wong" "Hong Kong" (noodle OR noodles) gave only this very marginal hit: [1]. Seems non-notable, and completely unverifiable. The page author seems to be User:Box of Rice, whose other contributions include Cabbage Hit and Hamburger of Truth, both of which are also on VfD and by the likes of it will soon be on BJAODN. I would recommend deletion. -- Brhaspati (talk, contribs) 09:58, 2005 Feb 21 (UTC)
- Delete. No, it won't be on BJAODN, because the author wants it there. (He seems to crave attention.) -- Hoary 10:06, 2005 Feb 21 (UTC)
- Comment. Yes I must agree with User:Hoary. I nominated this for VfD and was about to move to Cabbage Hit, which I found already nominated by the author himself. I did think that it might be some unusual edit conflict at first due to his denying creating that article, but now it does seem to be attention-craving. -- Brhaspati (talk, contribs) 10:14, 2005 Feb 21 (UTC)
Hey! You cant brainwash people into making the vote that you want! --Box of Rice 10:16, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
And also- someone PLEASE EXPAIN what is wrong with this article? Its a nirmal article about the sturrgles of a noodle maker. --Box of Rice 10:18, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Delete Unverifiable, possible hoax. I don't think that "Larry" is really a very common name among Hong Kong natives. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 12:50, Feb 21, 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. Non notable. Advert masquerading as an article. jni 14:50, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- The contribution history, the article content, and the discussion contributions, lead me to believe that this is silly vandalism. Speedy delete under criterion G3. Uncle G 15:14, 2005 Feb 21 (UTC)
- Speed deleted as silly vandalism. The image was copied from a photographer's web site [2] where it bears the caption A chef at a Chinatown restaurant in Washington DC makes noodles the old fashion way...by hand ! So much for Larry the noodle maker in Hong Kong. I've deleted the image as well. Wile E. Heresiarch 17:51, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
