[edit] Kevin Quinn
Does being the leader of a neo-nazi group make you notable enough to be in wikipedia?--nixie 00:52, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)

- Comment. Depends on the size of the group. Unfortunately (or fortunately, I suppose) the article doesn't include any external links, or Wikilinks, for that matter. Anyone who can stomach digging up information for this "November 9th Society" gets a cookie. Android79 03:59, Mar 7, 2005 (UTC)
- Well, his British neo-Nazi group (the November 9th Society) seems weakly notable, garnering 158 unique Google hits under that name. On the other hand, "Kevin Quinn" himself is a bit harder to find. Searching on that name reveals nothing about this particular Kevin Quinn in the first seventy or so hits (I gave up looking at that point.) The top Google hits are for an assistant professor at Harvard [1], an athlete [2], and a reporter [3]. A search of the BBC News site doesn't reveal any references to Quinn, either. Quite frankly, I don't think any of the available Kevin Quinns clear the notability bar.
Delete. --TenOfAllTrades | Talk 04:11, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)- Delete as nonnotable and copyvio. The biographical sketch is a direct copy-paste from the November 9th Society site here:[4]. It has now been reported as such. Quinn still doesn't appear to have any independent notability. --TenOfAllTrades | Talk 23:45, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Merge or keep, assuming November 9th Society is notable. You can't cover a party properly without covering its leaders. Kappa 21:26, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Copyvio takes precedence. Regardless, I would still be inclined to delete. Yes, we can properly cover a party without independent articles about their leaders. Verifiable information may always be included in the main article until and unless that article becomes too large. Rossami (talk) 19:01, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Comment: as someone who follows the topic, I'd be reluctant to write an article about an individual neo-Nazi unless they have achieved some notability (e.g. being convicted). That's personal preference, though, not policy - David Gerard 10:57, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- No text there now just delete I wouldn't think there'd be much left anyway.TAS 16:22, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)
