The result was delete. Normally a closer doesn't do this, but I looked at the full NYT article via Proquest and it was a trivial mention that only compounds the confusion here, we just need better sources than the ones that we have so far. If anyone wants to work on this article I will make the content available to you. W.marsh 22:15, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kechia Jenkins
Apparently this person is "now a monument in the Gospel arena". But there are no sources to support it (are there ever?) Guy (Help!) 22:31, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - Since being a former artist and several other professions, there's no reason whatsoever to delete the article. Although, the article is a complete mess and a major clean-up is required along with additionnal expansion and more sources required.--JForget 02:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Conditional keep Only if it can be verified that the singles listed did actually chart on Billboard. It would also help to have some outside references. The discogs.com page just seems to be a press-release-type deal. Closenplay 02:16, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Comment. Google News Archive comes up with one mention in the New York Times referring to a rising hit. [1]

All Music Guide doesn't have her and they have records of charting artists in the US so I support a delete. All Music Guide would certainly have her if she was a notable gospel artist.Capitalistroadster 07:58, 6 June 2007 (UTC)- It's misspelled as "Keisha" Jenkins, but there's not much to it. I don't think it's that she's notable as a Gospel artist, it's her secular career that seems to rate notability. Her few singles appear to be pretty popular with House and Garage fans (they've been re-released on tons of compilations—see her discogs.com listing). Unless someone can't come up with solid Billboard references, that makes her notable. She's not listed at billboard.com but I've been told that the information there is not complete. - Weak keep based on that information. We need to consider whether the article needs to be renamed. Capitalistroadster 18:54, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- If it's kept, it shouldn't be renamed; her name is misspelled @ AMG, not here. Closenplay 19:18, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
