[edit] José Luiz Pacheco
Not notable. Reading it makes me think it's a hoax, especially since google returns only 8 hits, most/all(?) mirrors. SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 18:55, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

- Your observation that this is a hoax, could be interpreted as offensive or inappropriate because the article was created by an user, Pularoid, and I am sure he doesn't agree with hoaxes in Wikipedia. Although, Luiz Pacheco was a writer with published works in Portugal and an older article on the Portuguese Wikipedia, who was the theme of a television documentary on Portuguese television where José Saramago and Mário Soares, among other figures, commented Luiz Pacheco's eccentric life and work, I think Pacheco wasn't too much famous and reputed. - Sorrry, Pularoid, I didn't mean any offense. I didn't realize that the language difference made it so difficult for me to read and understand. My apologies. The sentence "The deadline arrived, yet no one got killed at least for two more months." really threw me. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 06:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

- Comment - I can't read them, but there seem to be a fair amount of external links on the Portuguese article. Perhaps someone with language knowledge can look at them and give a better idea of meeting notability. matt91486 (talk) 20:03, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Looks notable; see here and here, for instance. The article obviously needs the attention of a Portuguese speaker, but that is no reason to delete. Brianyoumans (talk) 22:42, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

- Comment. Let's see if we can get some editors who are knowledgable about Portugal involved. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

- Keep Although I don't know much about him, he's obviously notable as his death this week was breaking news here in Portugal. Also lots about him on the newspapers. Húsönd 23:20, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. - Needs attention and sourcing, but fulfils notability and verifiability requirements. Mostlyharmless (talk) 07:13, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep! This man was one of the most important writers, editors and literary carachters of 20th century Portuguese literature! The Ogre (talk) 01:26, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
