This person seems non-notable as far as I can tell he just seems like a member of the communist party but didn't do anything notable - objections were raised during the preposed deletion process SirGrant 21:09, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

• Delete This Google search brings up the wikipedia page and two copies of an obituary --Wafulz 21:20, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
• Delete per WP:BIO and WP:V. I can't find any reliable or conclusive evidence that he founded either of the two societies the article credits him with. Srose (talk) 21:32, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
• Comment I would like to note that I believe the person who brought up the objections to this article being deleted is a sockpuppet of the origional creater of the article. If you check Valandro (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) and Snedger (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) their contributions are very similar as they work on nearly the exact same set of articles. While there is no official policy against sockpuppetry I would just like it to be noted that I believe it's a possibility. SirGrant 21:35, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

• Delete. Strongest assertion of notability is the founding of the friendship societies with the DDR and the Soviet Union, but I don't see anything to suggest that those societies are notable. Therefore, Gibson is non-notable by extension. —C.Fred (talk) 23:33, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
