[edit] John Courage
Nothing in the article suggests to me that he is inherently notable enough, aside from being a candidate, for his own article. I suggest Delete and redirect to United States House elections, 2006. It is not a merge because a balanced entry for Texas 21st Congressional District is needed there. BlueValour 01:49, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per nom as not notable. DarthVader 06:04, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. Article about the race should be created first, and he can me mentioned there. --Aguerriero (talk) 16:11, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

- Keep per nom as notable in that he has been nominated to run for Congress.75.7.152.96 20:53, 15 July 2006 (UTC) No user contrbutions before today. BlueValour 20:57, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Delete A candidate for a Congressional district is not notable by reason of nomination alone. The other accomplishmetns listed would not make for an encyclopediac article, either. --DarkAudit 21:49, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Weak Delete. I'm uncomfortable with the policy that candidates are NN by reason of nomination alone. That policy introduces a subtle bias in favor of incumbents with pages mentioning their candidacies. Nevertheless, Candidates and elections seems a mostly fair policy stating, "articles on elections should be written before articles on individual candidates." Aguerriero is correct: an article on the race itself should be created first. Then perhaps this page could be merged there. Scorpiondollprincess 13:38, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
