The result was Keep per WP:SNOW. Besides, non-repercussion in English press and non-English references are not valid reasons for deletion (non-admin). brewcrewer (yada, yada) 17:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Isabella Nardoni case
The case had no repercussion in English press, it's very Brazilian-interest related case. The sources are all in Portuguese failing in the Wikipedia:Verifiability. Ciao 90 (talk) 14:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. The sources needn't be in English. And the English Wikipedia is an international Wikipedia in English, not the Wikipedia of the English-speaking countries. Andres (talk) 15:50, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

- Comment: I point the nominator to WP:RSUE, which explicitly states that non-English sources are acceptable when there are no equally reliable English sources. Article does not fail verifiability in that regard. —Quasirandom (talk) 17:18, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Keep There are enough English language sources included to adequitely demostrate notability of the case to my mind. An argument could be made on not news grounds, but it looks like the impact of the case has grown past that. —Quasirandom (talk) 17:21, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Keep, international coverage has reached the English-speaking media. Perhaps some sources could be used to expand the article. --Dhartung | Talk 19:15, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Keep, while non-English sources are acceptable in the event of a lack of English sources there appear to be plenty of English sources. The titling of the article also addresses WP:ONEEVENT in that it's covering what happened, not the person. I think Murder of Isabella Nardoni might be a better title but that's a talk page and not an AfD discussion TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 20:29, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Keep no need to feed into any sort of systemic WP:BIAS it doesn't matter what language the sources are in, there is ample coverage to demonstrate a strong degree of notability. This isn't an event that received coverage just because it was a "slow news day". Coccyx Bloccyx (talk) 17:40, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
