[edit] Hilton Windsor
non notable Hilton in Windsor, Ontario; kind of large, but not as large as some. Notable? Brianyoumans 20:18, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Merge - Not so notable by itself, but perhaps we should add it to the Windsor, Ontario page. A sentence wouldn't hurt. -bobby 20:35, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Comment - It is attached to a conference center; perhaps a sentence or two could describe the conference center and the attached hotels. --Brianyoumans 21:00, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete and don't merge. Would mentioning the Hilton in the Windsor article actually add anythinhg to the Windsor article? It would only serve to just list a hotel. -- Whpq 21:04, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Merge with Windsor, Ontario per above. JYolkowski // talk 21:19, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete I don't see anything worth merging. TJ Spyke 21:51, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Transwiki to Wikitravel. It appears it's just another non-special hotel. --Marriedtofilm 22:36, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete as per nom. Don't merge as Wikipedia is not a hotel guide and we don't want hotels, restaurants etc etc spamming up city articles. Don't Transwiki to Wikitravel as Wikitravel is not part of Wikimedia, and such a move is not permitted under stated policy Bwithh 23:59, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Your understanding of policy is incorrect. Transwikification can occur between any wikis, Wikimedia Foundation or otherwise. The relevant restriction is the copyright licensing of the source and target wikis. Wikitravel has a copyright licence that is incompatible with the GFDL, and that is what prevents transwikification to Wikitravel. (It's the same sitation as for Wikinews, whose licence is also incompatible with the GFDL.) Our Wikitravel article does explain this. Uncle G 10:35, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- Uh, I don't see why my understanding is wrong even after your explanation. The first paragraph of the Wikipedia afd page specifically says that articles cannot be transwikied to WikiTravel. Perhaps there's something subtlety being missed here by the afd page and myself (note that I'm talking - both before and now - about what is permitted, not what can be technically carried out) - if there is, then you should modify the beginning section of the Articles for Deletion page. Quote:"The page is then either kept, merged and/or redirected, transwikied (moved to another Wikimedia project, such as Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikiquote, Wiktionary, or another language's Wikipedia—please note that it cannot be transwikied to WikiTravel or Wikinews" Bwithh 17:40, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- Now read what you added to that yourself, in what you wrote above. You added "as Wikitravel is not part of Wikimedia", which is not what is written, and which is wrong, as I explained. Uncle G 03:09, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

- Keep Not so much as a hotel or for being a Hilton, but being 22 sotries tall seems to be, with the lack of any notability guidelines that I can find for skyscrapers, tall enough to merit inclusion. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 12:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
