Not sure this is a notable subject, despite the NYTIMES reference. It appears the most notable thing he did was get shot, sad to say. 31 Google hits by this name. Not sure coverage of his killing rises to the level of "significant media coverage." 31 Google hits for "Pookie Loc". I find no mention at Allmusic.
