[edit] Hella (disambiguation)
A dictionary definition, not encyclopaedic, not even a proper disambiguation page Worldtraveller 16:06, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
- I disagree. The format and content of this page almost exactly mirrors Fucking, which notes that it refers to the name of a town and also notes the slang definition. --Cryptnotic 06:05, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
- But is this slang definition encyclopaedic? Wikipedia is not a dictionary. And this page doesn't even link to Hella the town. Worldtraveller 09:29, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
- I half-agree with Worldtraveller. The definition of the word "hella" given here, IMHO, is properly encyclopedic in that it gives a fairly complete etymology and history of the word. In that sense, it's hella appropriate for Wikipedia. However, as this is a disambiguation page, it should read something like "Hella is a town in Iceland; 'hella' is a slang word indicating emphasis," with each link pointing to a separate "hella" page.--HughJorgan 06:56, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
- Modify/Expand. There ought to be a "Hella (disambiguation)" page because no matter how we feel about the current contents, there is at least "Hella" page about the town in Iceland and there ought to be a "Hella (company)" page about the manufacturer of headlights for cars. - Rename or delete. This page is misnamed; it should be Hella (slang), not Hella (disambiguation). A new disambiguation page should be created, pointing to here and to [Hella]], a town in Iceland. -- Curps 23:46, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Rename, there's also a Hella (band). I think Hella (word) or Hella (slang) could be useful, hella is an interestingly versatile word, having many grammatical functions, like fuck.—Wiki Wikardo 20:52, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
I think we have consensus so I'm going to do it.
