[edit] Hardcore gamers
Badly written, unhelpful and generally un-Wikipedic. ThomasWinwood 22:47, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. Everything stated above, plus Original Research. Leads one to wonder, however, how one would define Hardcore wikipedian --RoySmith 23:33, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. The contents of this article aren't particularly salvageable, and whatever real definitions there are, could be easily covered on any other gamer culture-related articles. (Plus, the definition in this article is so very subjective. "Has beaten Nethack" would be an objective definition of a hardcore gamer, though. You can easily fit that in any related article.=) --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 23:36, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delete non-notable neologism, original research, POV, unencyclopaedic - a reasonable example of what WP:ISNOT, I'd say. Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] (W) AfD? 12:19, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Keep in some form or redirect (to Video game player perhaps?). There is a definite distinction between a 'casual' and a 'hardcore' gamer, that should be noted in some form - it is not a 'non-notable neologism'. Orange Goblin 11:43, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

- In what way is the dicdef of hardcore gamer distinct from the dicdef of hardcore bodybuilding, punk, drunk-driver or whatever? And does that stop it being a dicdef? (wiktionary is thataway ---->) - Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] (W) AfD? 18:49, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- Keep - well established notable term used for gaming industry. Hardcore is far more prevalent in the gaming industry than anywhere else. Mentioned in PvP regularly, and in most gaming magazines as well. Zordrac 13:27, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
