Virtually 100% nonsense as far as I can tell. I can quite categorically state that no person of this name ever played for Dundee United or Scotland. I can't turn up any info relating to the alleged Mr Smith at Celtic or Shamrock Rovers either. And this is without mentioning some of the other tremendous flights of fancy included!
