The title of this article is a metaphor which the author seems to have invented, and which he intensely overworks. Hamilton's financial program is covered under Alexander Hamilton, without the apologetic here. Delete as neologism. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 21:28, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

• Keep I think this could be kept if its removed of the four pillars stuff and renamed to something like "Alexander Hamilton's Proposals" or something of that sort. Just replace the intro paragraph with a couple of lines and I think its good. The actual content of the article is pretty solid Corpx 03:10, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
• Delete unless thoroughly reworked as an expansion of Alexander Hamilton#Secretary of the Treasury: 1789–1795. For one thing, there were five proposals. For another, I can find no reliable source for the "four pillars" trope, or for any other number of pillars. Finally, we already have articles on three of Hamilton's notable reports (I assume there were many, it's just that these were controversial). What we need is two more articles on the missing reports, and an article that ties them together in an historical context, not as stealth policy-pushing. --Dhartung | Talk 07:00, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
