A term that's not historically used contemporaily, introduced by the novelilst Luo Guanzhong in his Romance of the Three Kingdoms that's not really independently significant. Delete. --Nlu (talk) 20:15, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Keep Five Tiger Generals because of its famousness, although it is strictly from novel. We can also merge the Five Wei Generals into Five Tiger Generals like with zh:五虎将 and make the article a discussion of the concept in the Chinese arts. _dk 21:21, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Keep What does contemporary usage have to do with it? it's an historical term used for a major set of characters in an extremely important historical novel. DGG 00:31, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
    • When I said "contemporary usage," I meant contemporary to the time of the characters -- during the Three Kingdoms period and the following dynasty, Jin. Effectively, they're terms invented over a thousand years later that don't really make sense historically. --Nlu (talk) 07:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Keep These articles serve as the only descriptive piece of information relating to the terms "Five Tiger General" and "Five Wei General". Reading through an officer's ROTK description and learning that such-and-such officer was a member of the Five Tiger Generals merely adds more questions if there is no article explaining the meaning of such a title.
