No references, is unsourced, poorly formatted, and is mostly a copy-vio. The only hit that comes up for the name on Google is the Wikipedia article and a mirror. Páll (Die pienk olifant) 18:00, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I don't think any of those are grounds for deletion, unless it's actually impossible to verify its existence. I see instead a notability problem, considering how this is about a single synagogue that doesn't even exist any longer. It could make a case, however, judging from the general claim that "the synagogue became a center for cantorial music, and many of the greatest cantors of the 20th century performed there." If that can be verified and made into more of a concrete factual statement rather than mere puffery, it might pass the test. A building that survived from 1857 until 2006 may also be notable, even if not so as a congregation in and of itself. No vote for now. Postdlf 18:04, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Delete When you edit a page, it says right under the edit window:

"The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. This means that we only publish material that is verifiable with reference to reliable, published sources." (from verifiable) If information is not verifiable, then it does not belong in Wikipedia. The lack of formatting and copy-vio issues are just icing on the cake. Thanks for the link. I'm just glad to see that I'm not the only one who interpreted it the way that I did. I still think that this one ought to be kept, regardless of motivation for bringing it to AfD. ergot 23:29, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
