The result was delete. Coverage by the tabloids doesn't cut it, and BIG WP:BLP issue. PeaceNT 13:27, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fabian Basabe
AfDs for this article:
Non notable individual ≈ jossi ≈ (talk) 04:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete as nom. A person that become known because it "was photographed dancing with President Bush's daughter Barbara at a New York party" does not meet the notability criteria for inclusion. 04:47, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete I have to note that the article is well sourced and the person is partially a credible person in my opinion, but I do have to take in account why (which is reflecting my vote). Dancing with the president's daughter isn't something that would be remembered 3, 5, 10 years down the line. That is why my vote is to delete it. BeanoJosh 05:13, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

- Note In some venues it is not polite for a woman to refuse to dance when asked. So very little can be inferred from the fact that they danced together. Steve Dufour 14:35, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Another note It would have been rude of Miss Bush to say, "I don't want to dance with you because you are a notorious person." On the other hand, if she had been a bit quicker and said something like, "No thanks. I'm a bit tired and want to sit this one out.", there would be no article. - Keep: Again. Sourced, and notable. - Rjd0060 05:29, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Keep Seems to have become established (via DOPOTUS) as someone whose doings are of interest to readers of gossip magazines, watchers of reality TV and so on. Not very notable, but notable enough, I think. Some of the critical material needs to be sourced or scrapped. JQ 07:03, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per above. Noor Aalam 15:44, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete: Sourced, yes, but still not notable. Wikipedia is neither newspaper nor tabloid, and nothing this fellow has done is encyclopedic in nature. Look up the page on biographies of living people, the answer is pretty clear. Harukaze 15:56, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, sourced, not notable, and the entire thing is one big WP:BLP violation. You remove the attacks on him, and you've got that he danced with a Bush daughter. Corvus cornix 18:22, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, per Harukaze. Hal peridol 21:35, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete Not a notable person. I am also concerned that WP Democrats are wasting valuable time on this kind of thing when they should be helping Hillary, Obama, or whomever they like. Steve Dufour 05:26, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
