I speedied this as vandalism on the basis of the name and the fact that the only "verification" of it is a blog, which isn't considered a reliable source. But the creator protested, saying "It wasn't vandalism! It's a real conference!" and another user convinced me on my talk page to undelete it. But I'm still not convinced it's notable enough for an encyclopedia, especially not with any reliable sources for verifiability. Perhaps speedying was too hasty, but I still say delete. • Delete, no reliable sources. Also needs to explain notability, such as major media coverage. Best done after the event per Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. • Keep. This is an annual event, typically attended by 100+ student journalists, some of whom go on to become high-profile professional journalists. See http://cup.ca/spin/ for information about the 68th national conference, which took place in January 2006 and some of the speakers there. And the site http://fuccup69.blogspot.com/ , while a blog, is an official one. TruthbringerToronto 06:40, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
• Keep. This fits right in with other articles about annual conferences we have. Just do a search for student conferences and you come up with plenty similarly notable, all covered with articles in our encyclopedia (see Canadian Undergraduate Technology Conference, WSC, Queer Collaborations and many, many others.]] --Mmounties (Talk) 14:46, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
