[edit] Cyrus Farivar
Freelance journalist, tagged for speedy as vanity. I think it makes enough of a claim to notability ("His work has appeared in The New York Times") to deserve a chance at a Vfd, but I can't find anything very impressive that he's written either... 476 google hits. Kappa 01:11, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Weak keep. Truly a borderline case, but 3 Wired articles in the last month or so suggests he's not a journalist of the mom's-basement type. BTW, for some reason I get 1,180 Google hits as an exact phrase. Safesearch on, maybe? Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 01:23, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)
- Keep He's showing notability. --Fuzzball! (talk) 01:48, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Was that HTML namestamp nessessary? Anyway, I say Keep, though it could use a cleanup. Asriel86 05:31, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)
- I was thinking this is vanity, but I did a search and there were five NYT technology stories that he has written according to Lexis-Nexis. So I'm gonna have to vote for delete. MicahMN | Talk 05:41, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Keep five NYT technology stories and three wired news stores, seems plenty notable to me. Klonimus 21:05, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Delete, this is borderline but there is nothing in Google which shows anything beyond significant. Megan1967 10:53, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. Seems to be widely published for someone his age and seems notable enough for mine. Capitalistroadster 11:54, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. N-Mantalk 12:26, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Keep In this case, err on the side of keeping the article. EdwinHJ | Talk 17:40, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Keep - Can't see a reason to Delete. --Irishpunktom\talk 11:21, Apr 13, 2005 (UTC)
