[edit] Comet (song)
Non-notable children's song. No chance of passing WP:MUSIC ;). Google search reveals that the song exists, but no one has ever thought to write about it before. -- Mark Chovain 21:31, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Delete - Non-notable and possible POV. --DA PIE EATER (talk) 22:21, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

- Comment The WP:Music standard for songs does not work well with songs passed through the oral tradition. There have been several scholarly works that deal with children's "folk" songs, especially "subversive" songs. A search on Google scholar for "makes your teeth turn green" does generate two hits. If this deleted it should be without prejudice for recreation if a sourced version with essentially the same content is recreated. Dsmdgold (talk) 14:47, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so that consensus may be reached.

Delete No reliable sources for this song. None of the sources talks specifically about the song. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 02:59, 9 June 2008 (UTC)- Keep The first source is convincing enough for me. - Keep. Referenced and catalogued by notable publications. WP:MUSIC does not deal with folklore well, but that's a failing of MUSIC, not of this article. Ford MF (talk) 03:14, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Comment. I'd also like to note the circumstances of the extension of this AfD. After the previous contributors had voted "Delete", and while I was editing the article to put in appropriate refs, the article was in fact deleted by User:King of Hearts, who relisted it after I recreated it. Ford MF (talk) 03:18, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Keep, well-known song, now with reference (thanks FMF). NawlinWiki (talk) 03:16, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Keep passes WP:Music#Songs. More than enough "verifiable material to warrant a reasonably detailed article" Esradekan Gibb "Talk" 03:51, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
