The result was delete - this was a very clear consensus. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the strip in preparation for closing this AfD. Sadly, that is not the test :-) For notability, the requirement is reliable secondary sources, which the page does not have. TerriersFan (talk) 19:05, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bigger Than Cheeses
Not notable; appears to be a vote-gatherer (the only reference is a link to a "Top 100" page). The objection to prod came from anonymous IP, with no reason given. Stationary (talk) 15:49, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Delete (as original prodder), nonnotable webcomic. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:45, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. Looks like an attempt was made to establish notability by describing subject as notable. I think this article could also be classified as linkspam. --AnnaFrance (talk) 19:55, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Delete - I don't see the notability here. The single ref is a start (it might pass WP:V), but not nearly enough. Merenta (talk) 02:08, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Do NOT delee - It is a big webcomic with lots of strips and has been online for many years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elsan (talk • contribs) 13:51, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Delete - I'm a BTC (Bigger Than Cheeses) reader and an inclusionist to boot, BUT of the 10 comics in the referenced link that have higher standing than BTC, only one has a wikipedia page - and they are notable because they've had published references and published a compendium. That's one reason not to give BTC a wikipedia article. (BTC doesn't even have an online store.) Furthermore (just for comparison for my own sake, I know this isn't normally used one way or the other) - googling returns only 50,000 hits for BTC, while all the others near them in the referenced list return around a half million hits. So I think I have to vote no. Question: What are the main biggest non-wikipedia wiki competitors that are inclusive? People who create such pages might be WAY more placated if their page was flat out *moved* to these alter-pedias. :-) CraigWyllie (talk) 18:26, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
