[edit] Beer run
PROD tag was removed from this microstub; original author states "I plan to expand this article to include information on beer runs as a cultural phenomenon among young adult males as well as possible connections between beer runs and drunken driving and other dangerous behavior" ... which sounds like WP:OR ➥the Epopt 22:50, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

- Strong Keep I don't know what the problem with this is. If you need a source for this being a real thing they mentioned it on the FX show Over There and plenty of other movies and TV shows. Commonly known in the USA. Just Google it. --Mboverload 22:57, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- The question isn't whether or not a "beer run" is a real thing. I don't think anybody's unclear on that point. The question is whether or not it's a topic that we can have an encyclopedic article about, using verifiable information from reliable sources, without venturing into original research. If there's nothing more to say than a definition, we run into Wikipedia is not a dictionary. If we go beyond a dictionary definition... we'd need a reliable source for whatever facts we're going to report. Got one? -GTBacchus(talk) 23:08, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Strong delete. Unsourced dicdef not expanded since creation in July 2005. Quale 23:03, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete unless someone synthesizes information from sociological surveys or news articles about the importance of the beer run. If someone recreates the article and provides that information, let there be no smiting of the beer run.Captainktainer 23:10, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete: Once again, more suited for Urban Dictionary than Wikipedia. -Bottesini 23:57, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Move to wiktionary? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dspserpico (talk • contribs)
- Keep The article just needs to be expanded. I see no reason to delete it. It's currently a stub, someone just needs to expand it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pooja.bhatt (talk • contribs)
- Expand it, don't delete it. Kurt Weber 23:45, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- Comment How can we expand the article? How can we possible write a verifiable article on beer runs besides a possible definition? This belongs in the wiktionary, not wikipedia. Dspserpico 00:55, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
