- Transwiki to the Wikibooks Cookbook. There's precedent for moving recipes. There's not much encyclopedic content to work with to make an article. - Mgm|(talk) 10:10, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

- Keep per JJL. Like with cocktails, pies are different from one another based on what's in it; therefore, including the "recipe" (actually just the ingredients, as a recipe would include more detailed baking instructions) is relevant and we should ignore the rules on this one. - Keep - other kinds of pie linked from the main Pie article have their own articles, including Apple pie, which has a pretty good history of the topic. I'm surprised that this article isn't linked from Pieing, though. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 15:08, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- Redirect to cream pie. The current article sports only poorly sourced claims; other cream pies redirect to cream pie (Chocolate creme pie, Coconut cream pie), which certainly has space for specific information about notable varieties. - Keep. Not only is it a good dessert dish, but there's a lot of potential for references in popular culture. There have been SO many Looney Tunes reels that have involved the use of a banana cream pie as a practical joke.--WaltCip 13:44, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
