[edit] BC Bud
unsourced and non-notable strain of cannabis -- JediLofty User ¦ Talk 16:38, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

- keep - Clearly notable. Try google "BC Bud" for news hits. (No pun intended)
- Delete it is not "clearly notable" try showing some sources not Google hits Coccyx Bloccyx 19:46, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Keep and source, as it is clearly notable by the number of news stories on it. IS this a WP:POINT nomination with all these cannabis strains? 132.205.99.122 21:17, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- The only point I see here is that the article has no sources to back up the info provided. It seems pretty irresponsible of you to vote to keep something that is not verifiable. Coccyx Bloccyx 22:04, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Do you mean because you didn't bother to check, that you're irresponsible? It seems pretty irresponsible to claim that something is not verifiable when it is verifiable. [1] 132.205.99.122 23:18, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

- Weak delete pending reliable sources (not blog and forum postings) that specifically cite this name. This is basically a nickname that generalizes practically all strains of marijuana from one Canadian province, rather than an established name for one specific strain. If there are good sources showing, for example, the Cannabis Cup being awarded specifically to "BC Bud", then I'll change to "keep". Unlike most of the articles in this group, BC Bud contains some cultural context which should probably be merged into a parent article such as Cannabis cultivation in British Columbia. - Keep and improve. This strain seems to be notable, e.g. [2] and [3] Hal peridol 00:01, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. I'm a British Columbian and this is a frequently-used term here, a generic term for BC-grown marijuana; but it's not just a local term as per www.bcbudonline.com, www.bcseedking.com or www.hackcanada.com/canadian/freedom/bc-bud.html, it's also a term used by the US Customs service, as per [www.hackcanada.com/canadian/freedom/bc-bud.html this link]. See also B-C-BUD@groups.msn.com. If it's felt that a more appropriate place for this is Cannabis cultivation in British Columbia, fine; but numerous tourists come to Vancouver's marijuana cafes looking for "BC bud", so I suggest it's much more than a local term.
