The result was delete Austin and Philly (the source found for that one was underwhelming to later participants), keep Muddy and Gotham. The only real issue was sourcing/verification--retention or deletion of other gay rugby articles is not relevant. Please add the sources listed here to the articles in question. Upon further review, and at the request of an editor, I've decided to delete Muddy York, too. I think this one is a closer call, though, because of the article from the National Post linked below. If anyone can provide another couple of good, independent sources that specifically speak to notability, I will undelete it without a DRV. Chick Bowen 22:02, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

I no longer support this AfD as it was based on the fact that if Malmö Devilants were to be deleted, then so should these articles. Malmö Devilants was deleted as the result of its own AfD however it was put up for Deletion Review. • Delete Austin Lonestars (rugby)since there is a lack of reliable source material. There is an Austin Lone Stars team that played in the U.S. Interregional Soccer League back in the 1990s, which sometimes is spelled "Austin Lonestars (soccer)." Delete Muddy York Rugby Football Club (Toronto) since there is a lack of reliable source material. Muddy York RFC does have a mention in Matthews, Karen. Keep Philadelphia Gryphons since there is enough for a Wikipedia article in Philadelphia City Paper (March 18, 2004) Scrum as You Are; Philadelphia's first gay rugby team is headed for the big game. • Delete - Austin Lonestars and Muddy York due to lack of info specifically on these clubs (no arguments of notability necessary when the subject lacks possible sourcing). I've found a possible source ([14]) for Muddy York, but I don't think it establishes any useful info. Keep the other two as Jreferee appears to have shown sufficient sources exists for those. Wouldn't be surprised if these individual teams are eventually written about by independent sources, but they haven't been yet Wickethewok 13:23, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
