[edit] Aricent
This article fails WP:CORP. The 88 unique search results do nothing to bolster notability, nor does anything cited in the article. Erechtheus 21:05, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Weak Keep. It is a newborn brand and now google shows noticable hits. But not sure if that's enough to meet WP:CORP - sooraj 11:12, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Smerge then Redirect - Per Erechtheus. Should be merged with Flextronics Software Systems and then, may be moved to "Aricent". - sooraj 16:58, 1 November 2006 (UTC)- Keep. It's a new name of an established company. Google gives a reasonable amount of hits for Aricent.bpangti 4:47, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

- Comment 155 unique results is a reasonable number? As far as I can tell, this is a spin-off. Why should it have its own article before it has done something notable? Erechtheus 03:18, 31 October 2006 (UTC):
- Keep. It is a rename for an established company which has made significant contributions to communications R&D, and has played an important role in Indian outsourcing. tstrudley 13:00, 31 October 2006 (PST)

- Comment If this is indeed an established company and not a spinoff, why is there any need for a new article on the subject matter? Shouldn't the old article simply be updated and moved with a redirect left behind? Erechtheus 04:40, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- Comment I believe that you have identified the correct solution: the old article (FSS) has been updated and copied to the new article (Aricent) - all that remains is to put a redirect in place. tstrudley 12:31, 1 November 2006 (PST)
- Keep. It is a new name for a company which has made history in India. This is the only location on the web with the evolution of the single largest equity buy-out in Indian history to date.—Preceding unsigned comment added by SatsJ (talk • contribs)

- CommentAre you suggesting that there is an original research problem with this article? I don't recall any offline sources cited. I'll have to look deeper. Erechtheus 06:11, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Comment. No , the problem is not with the offline sources . I meant that this article provides information on web , about a company,( which has been renamed )which attracted the largest PE buy out due to the it's role in communications software , Indian outsourcing and HR practices . The buying firm KKR is known for it's large buy outs and has a successful history of last 3 decades.

- Keep. A company worth $900,000,000 is certainly a lot more notable than every single song on every album of some moderately notable rock group and most everything else on Wikipedia. Gene Nygaard 14:23, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. Flextronics is no longer associated with Aricent though it retains a 15% stake. It might provide misleading information to the user
