[edit] Angela V. Shelton
Non-notable actress. Extremely limited filmography; only 16 entries in IMDb over a 12-year period. No reliable secondary sources provided, and it looks as if few exist (only 158 hits on Google). Fails WP:BIO. Valrith 20:56, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - Major cast member in the popular 3 Non-Blondes series and appeared on several other notable films and TV shows. A notable performer can have only 1 IMDB entry in a 100-year period. Quality not quantity. --Oakshade 00:01, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - One problem with the IMDB entry is that it gives her one-line listings for series in which she had multi-episode roles. I've never seen "3 Non Blondes" so I don't know how big her role is, but she's listed as a series regular and only gets one line out of it. She was also apparently going to be a co-star of a pilot American version by VH1,[1][2] but I guess that was a project that got axed. She's also got a voice part in "Hey Monie!" as... Monie. Again, she only gets one line for that. It only lasted one season and doesn't have a bunch of fansites, but it did run on a moderately important cable channel, BET. (The article also makes claims that she co-created the series, which IMDB doesn't directly confirm, but they have the two top roles.) I think it's enough notability to pass. Oh, and as for the original Google search, she apparently appeared in most roles without her middle initial, so that search will undercount. On the other hand, without it there will be many false positives. I tried some alternate searches and still only got results in the hundreds, but it's not quite as bad as just 158 hits. --Groggy Dice T | C 02:56, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- KEEP Wikipedia should be inclusive not exclusive. I am a firm believer that most bios should be allowed to remain. All bios need is sources and a minimal standard of notability. The larger Wikipedia is the best of a resource it is. One million articles is much better that one hundred thousand articles. It should be a source of information on the most trivial matters to the most important. Callelinea 04:48, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, so you don't like our notability criteria, no need to prove a point by trying to impose your criteria on debates where we use the actual criteria. This user has been spamming several debates with this BTW. Morgan Wick 07:43, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Neutral: Should be possible to make a verifiable, sourced case for note. That said, having never heard of 3 Non-Blondes and seeing her credited as a camera operator rather than costar and the 3 Non-Blondes article's ext link to the BBC is broken, I'm a little confused - which is it, and how do we confirm her role? - The 3 Non Blondes credit is listed in her imdb profile. Also, the official website says they created the show Hey Monie!. kc12286 03:38, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- IMDB is somewhat error prone. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Superhero! & [3], where the Wiki used IMDB as its source or vice versa and the producer later stated that every single cast credit was incorrect. The contradiction between 3 Non-Blondes and the nom'd article should be remedied with some haste - Does an official site for the show still exist? I was only able to find one, and it had been pulled.
