[edit] Alternative music
Alternative music includes a lot of genres, and only one of those is alternative rock. It's like I redirect singer to Johnny Rotten just because he is a singer too. Really it's better a red link than a wrong link, because it confuses the reader and it avoids that somebody writes correctly the article. You can get more information and references here Libertad y Saber 21:20, 14 September 2007 (UTC) Could be one informal sinonym, but it is not really. It is like redirect world music to african music. Absurdity.
- Strong Keep "Alternative music" is a synonym of "alternative rock", which is why it's a redirect. Frankly I find proposing that a valid redirect be deleted rather strange and unnecessary. WesleyDodds 23:03, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Strong Keep Snowball; its alt rock in the US, alt music in Europe. Mention 'rock' here and you will loose your girlfriend, family, and fingers. Ceoil 23:10, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
