[edit] Ahmad Shamal
As far as I can tell this guy does not meet the notability guidelines. I did some google searching for him and could not find any information at all, just a few video clips. -Icewedge (talk) 04:15, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Weak Delete, I tagged this for speedy but the tag was removed, so I've been sitting and watching to see if it improves. It has, but there are no real sources attesting to much of anything. To play the devil's advocate, he might be notable in the context of Kurdish music, but he seems to have died prior to the Internet's wide availability in that part of the world, which is why it's difficult to locate documentation on him. - Delete. Doesn't appear to be notable. J-ſtanContribsUser page 04:44, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. If we regard him as a musician, he doesn't meet WP:MUSIC criteria (per a Google search). If we regard him as a patriot, there's nothing regarding his political or nationalistic leanings. It would have to be shown on non-internet sources if this man is to be regarded as notable enough for Wikipedia inclusion. Tanthalas39 (talk) 04:22, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. As Requested for an English source which is not an Internet page, unfortunatly I personaly could not find it, the refrences on the main page I have given shows that he is next to other Artists like Ali Merdan and Hesen Zirek which can be a proof. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mama risha (talk • contribs) 09:58, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
