[edit] List of African-American quarterbacks
- African-American quarterbacks (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) – this article has been speedied as a copyright violation
- List of African-American quarterbacks (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) - (View log)
Non-encyclopedic, overly broad, and seems somewhat "unreasonable". We don't need an article entitled Caucasion-American quarterbacks, so why this?
-
- I am also nominating the following related page for reasons stated above. Additionally, it simply duplicates the list already in the "parent" article:

- Speedy delete of African-American quarterbacks, No opinion on List of African-American quarterbacks. In the former case, all of the content, except for the list at the bottom, is a copyvio from http://www.blackathlete.net/artman/publish/article_01018.shtml; to remove it would leave only the list at the bottom, which is already at the latter article and belongs at that title, if it belongs on Wikipedia at all.
- The copyvio content has also appeared at the latter article, but was removed and replaced and removed again. That article had been turned into a redirect to African American Quarterbacks#History, which does not exist; the African-American quarterbacks article nominated here did not exist at that time, either. I believe the editor's intent was to move the list, and the copyvio content, to African-American quarterbacks, but, as said, without the copyvio there's nothing worth moving.
- As to whether the List of African-American quarterbacks is worth keeping on its own, I have no opinion. But the AFD notice has been improperly placed on that article's Talk page instead of the main page, and I will move it momentarily. (And sorry for the super-long comment, but I'm just trying to explain what the heck is up here, even though I'm not 100% sure myself.) Propaniac 13:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- AFD notification has been moved to the main page at List of African-American quarterbacks. Propaniac 13:45, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- Note - I have speedied African-American quarterbacks as it is nothing but a copyvio. I have also removed infringing revisions from List of African-American quarterbacks, so I suppose this AFD should stay open to consider its disposition. I have made the appropriate adjustments to the header of this AFD. --B 16:28, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- Delete the list without prejudice - since nobody has offered an opinion on what to do with the non-copyvio list, I will. Delete it without prejudice. As it stands right now, the list is useless and does nothing that a category couldn't do. But a well-sourced, well-constructed list of African American quarterbacks (preferably with the inclusion criteria that they were either starters in the pros or All-something in college) could be a good list. --B 19:20, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Improve - could be interesting if constructed better. Abdelkweli 16:03, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy Delete. Why not just Afr.Amer. Footbal players, which although make sense, is still pretty trivial. James Luftan 23:43, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Delete and preposition As there is no context pretty much and is likely incomplete and unsourced. Would a category fit well though?--JForget 01:45, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
