[edit] Abadia Retuerta Selección Especial
A brand of wine. No real claim to notability as I've never seen a wine that didn't claim at least some awards. I am also nominating the following related pages for the same reasons, though am holding off on the Abadia Retuerta corporate article for the moment:
- Abadia Retuerta Pago Negralada (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
- Abadia Retuerta Rívola (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
- Abadia Retuerta Cuvée Palomar (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
- Abadia Retuerta Pago la Garduña (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
- Abadia Retuerta Pago Valdebellón (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
- Abadia Retuerta PV (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
- Comment You write "I've never seen a wine that didn't claim at least some awards" You must be a very happy man. I'm starting to envy... - The article claims they won "Silver medal International Wine Challenge of 2003"; it seems to be at least partially notable to me.--Ioannes Pragensis 09:06, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Comment. Seriously, when you walk into a wine store, every single wine appears to have a tag proclaiming some stellar rating in a magazine or a prize in some contest the average person has never heard of. In this case, International Wine Challenge has its own article, which states that there are no limits to the number of trophies awarded, which is a huge red flag. Unless there is a more rigorous proof of selectivity, this seems about as strong an argument as "You shouldn't disagree with this Wikipedian because she has received a barnstar." Note that while labels like Dom Pérignon (wine) have articles, and there are many articles on wineries, the nominated articles on labels don't have anything approaching the notability of Dom Pérignon. Not that they don't sound tasty, though... - BanyanTree 09:34, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Comment as I have said you are a happy man. Probably I live in a wrong country. Life is too short to drink bad wines... --Ioannes Pragensis 21:33, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

- Merge all to the Abadia Retuerta article, which is about the winery that makes all of them.
A winery is the sort of business I am inclined to give the benefit of a doubt to. They necessarily have a physical plant, continuity from one year to the next, and tend to generate fairly substantial independent press coverage; I suspect it would be easy to make the main article meet WP:CORP even if it doesn't already. I don't see the need for separate articles on each of its products, though. - Smerdis of Tlön 13:47, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Merge. A winery or a winemaker may be notable in the WP sense but an individual wine very rarely is. andy 17:31, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Keep and Merge all - barely notable, but deserves to be included in its winemaker article. Elfin341 18:29, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Merge all into Abadia Retuerta; not only are the wines lacking notability, but the articles are completely unreferenced and even the quotes lack proper citations. --Kralizec! (talk) 16:35, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Merge merge them all under the vinyard. Slavlin 16:59, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
