[edit] 2018 world cup
Speedied but doesn't seem to fit any CSD. No vote as yet. --Tony SidawayTalk 22:41, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- After further investigation, I have found that an article on this event already exists and England's interest in tendering is mentioned. Redirect --Tony SidawayTalk 22:54, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Redirect to Football World Cup 2018 as above. Kappa 23:03, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- I would support any admin who wanted to close this discussion and make the article a speedy redirect. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:30, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Damn. I was going by the "no crystal ball" edict. Who knew we had an article about an event thirteen years into the future? Redirect. Sheesh. - Lucky 6.9 02:30, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- Comment The Football World Cup only takes place every four years, the next one being in 2006, so the 2018 competition is only four competitions away – three, not counting the one already in progress (qualification matches are played for some 18 months previously). The bid process is lengthy in itself, so it's not remarkable that the 2018 competition is starting to get mentions already. Speedy redirect. Tonywalton | Talk 19:45, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- DELETE unless the FIFA 2018 World Cup is the only one that year, which it won't be, becuase World Cup skiing occurs every year. 132.205.44.43 20:37, 17 August 2005 (UTC)

- Comment that's covered by the redirect to Football World Cup 2018. There won't be a Rugby Union World Cup or a Cricket World Cup that year either Tonywalton | Talk
- Comment. The same sysop who deleted Warren Benbow has also deleted this article. To remove his excuse I have undeleted only the indisputable non-speediable versions that I created myself. --Tony SidawayTalk 22:37, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
