Skinflints are a indie/rock/pop band from Erskine, Scotland formed in 2004 by close friends Richard Wilson (lead vocals/guitar), Greg MacAulay (lead guitar/vocals), Sean Henighen (bass guitar/vocals) and Craig Simpson (drums). The band played extensively in the Glasgow area. Their first gig was in Macsorley's bar. Early 2007 they signed to Black Sugar Records and have begun recording their debut album. Recording began with Malcolm Ross (Orange Juice, Aztec Camera...), but the band are currently recording with Stephen Watkins of The Acute. In late 2007, long time friend Stu Gilmour (organ, synth, drums, vocals) joined the band as their sound changed and developed.

Recently, the band have been playing more outside of the Glasgow area. In a review of their gig in Dundee Doghouse, they received a review from Andy Garibaldi of Dead Ernest who commented: "I was absolutely jaw-dropped by what I was hearing, so much so that there's no way I can give you any sort of song breakdown or description other than the whole effect was a sort of fiery "Hanney-meets-Hawkwind in an inferno" type of thing and even this doesn't come that close!!"

Their debut album has been recorded and will be mixed at the end of March (2008) for release this year.

Peer Gynt is a ballet by John Neumeier with music by Alfred Schnittke. It is loosely based on Henrik Ibsen's play. It premiered on 1989 in Hamburg.

The score (more than two hours of music) is an example of Schnittke's polystylism, as it combines and juxtaposes several styles of music. It is written for a massive orchestra including tape (used only in the epilogue), harpsichord, piano, and organ. The score also calls for many percussion instruments, among which the flexatone plays an important role (it represents the sound of the wind).

Comment: It is generally discouraged to include information in Wikipedia that is "not worthy of note," or "unencyclopedic." As the topic of an article, we have the stricter definition of notability. It is also generally the case that family trees are not worth ever mentioning, as the families of most notable individuals are not themselves notable. I see that for this family, only two of the members have their own articles. Family trees are generally reserved for situation in which the family itself (or simply very many members of it) meets the notability guideline. Alphonso Van Marsh 

Alphonso Van Marsh is a correspondent for CNN, based out of London. He is part of the new breed of reporters who can shoot, write and edit their own material in the field utilizing CNN's new laptop-based 'Digital Newsgathering' system.

Previously based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Marsh covers news when it happens with traditional newsgathing teams as well as by using lightweight cameras and advanced satellite and Internet communications technology. In December 2003, he shot the exclusive footage of U.S. troops in Iraq celebrating upon their return from the capture of Saddam Hussein.

From HIV/AIDS in Africa to the conflict in the Middle East to a modern day serial killer in England, Marsh has reported on a variety of stories. Most recently Van Marsh produced and reported a week-long series marking the abolition of slavery in the British Empire.

Before being named as a full-time correspondent, Marsh was a writer, show producer and correspondent for CNN International. He has served as CNN’s bureau operations director in Johannesburg, an associate producer for newsmagazine “CNN & Time” in the investigative unit and as the interim bureau chief for CNN in Nairobi, Kenya. Marsh joined CNN in 1995 as a freelance correspondent and producer.

Marsh, who was once based in Istanbul, Turkey for CNN, has worked as a journalist in dozens of countries throughout his career including Afghanistan, Egypt, Yemen, Togo and Cuba. In Cairo, Egypt, he was a correspondent/video journalist for The New York Times-Video News International. And, he has also been a Medill News Service correspondent for KEZI-TV in Eugene, Oregon and WHO-AM in Des Moines, Iowa.

He has received numerous awards for his international reporting skills including a Headliner Award for his exclusive reporting on the capture of Saddam Hussein. He has also won multiple awards from the National Association of Black Journalists as well as honors for his deadline, business, documentary, feature and sports reporting, photography and editing skills. Marsh has been a fellow with the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

Marsh holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Journalism from Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.

[edit] Overview The Truth About Jane is a 2000 TV film dealing with a 16 year old teenage girl discovering her sexuality, and her surroundings, especially the family dealing with her being gay. [edit] Plot The film starts by establishing the protagonists, Jane (played by Ellen Muth), as a normal teenage girl starting highschool. Upon the arrival of a new student, Taylor, she develops a crush on her, and succequently starts a relationship. Her younger brother, who sees them kissing, tells the school about it, upon which her parents recieve a phone call, telling them that their daughter is a lesbian. Being over-powered by the situation, they try seeing it as "a phase" seriously hampering their relationship to their daughter, who (upon being about to be send to a boarding school) flees to her (gay) teachers house, who helps her parents to see that they must learn to accept their daughter as she is.
