The Mayor of Hooperville is the alter-ego and stage name used by Erika Fey, an American hula hoop performer, instructor, retailer and manufacturer based in Portland, Oregon. She employs a style of hula hooping, also known as hoopdance, which utilzes one or more modernized and weighted hula hoops to execute an improvisational or choreographed routine of stylized tricks and complicated manuevers. She is among the leaders of the current reemergence of hula hooping as an art and recreation among adults.

Lyndon S. Remias (born September 22, 1967) is the first Filipino-American ever elected to the City of Virginia Beach School Board. He is married to the former Susan Fernando. Remias has two children.

[edit] Election Background

Lyndon Remias was elected to the School Board in May 2006 for his first term. Remias defeated incumbent Lois Williams 19,396 to 15,363 to win the Princess Anne District Race. Although Williams was the incumbent a majority of the Virginia Beach School Board turned against Williams and supported Remias.

In May 2004 Remias unsuccessfully ran for a seat on the School Board. Remias finished 132 votes behind winner [Rita Sweet Bellitto] in his bid for an at-large seat on the Virginia Beach School Board.

Because Bellitto's margin of victory was less than 1 percent of the combined votes cast for her and Remias, Virginia law allowed Remias to request a recount. Remias opted not to pursue a recount but vowed to mount a stronger campaign the next time he ran.

Remias is a 1989 graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Remias received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.

Remias is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He has over 17 years of operational, financial and compliance auditing experience. Currently, Remias is a Senior Operational Auditor with [Amerigroup Corporation] in Virginia Beach.

Remias worked previously with [Eastern Virginia Medical School] where in 2003 he was appointed the first ever Internal Auditor for the medical school.

A strong showing by the 14,000-member Filipino-American community in Virginia Beach helped push Remias to victory. Atiomic County is the fctional universe created within the television show The O.C. It was created primarly by characer Seth Cohen, who began drawings of Little Miss Vixen (based on his girlfriend Summer Roberts), whilst living in Portland with friend Luke. The basis of Atomic County is that of Seth's own experience of living in Orange County since Ryan appeared. In fact the start of Orange County is a twist on when Ryan first moved to Newport. With Seth describing events in one episode "and the demon water-polo player [based on Luke] unleashed a plasma ball and said 'Welcome to Atomic County, Bitch!'"

In later episodes Seth’s drawings are seen by fellow comic book lover Zac Stevens, who convinced Seth to produce a comic book series using his characters. The two teamed up with, at the time, Zac’s girlfriend and inspiration for Little Miss Vixen, Summer Roberts.

Later in the series, after failing to launch the comic in San Diego, producer Carter approaches Seth, and convinces him tore-vive the comic for a graphic novel. Zac and Seth rejoin forces determined to make the graphic novel succeed this time. Summer (now girlfriend to Seth) decides not to get involved this time around.

Summer later gets involved with the graphic novel of Atomic County and poses as Little Miss Vixen at the launch of the raphic novel, which leads Zac and Seth to have a fist fight over her.
