If you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there. “Rosetta Stoned”is the 8th track on the album 10,000 days by the American band Tool. The song is considered to be a second part to the song “third eye” from their album Ænima. The reason for this is because of the song’s reuse of the exact same melodies from “third eye”. Listeners of this track have picked this up, the following is a comment from the website www.musicmademe.com. “Dementia Solaris added 04/30/2006, 10:23 PM Correction.. About the "he looked right through me part".. it's the riff from 'Third Eye' Just the beginning of it. It's quite evident.” Arguably tool fans say that the song’s riff is not the same at all or see it is and don’t care. Others arguments say that the similarity between the two songs is intentional since both songs are about experimentation with mind-expanding drugs. This has left groups of Tool fans divided in opinion. If you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there. Permuterm is known one of the first successful punch card indexing systems, and is still referenced today in the data indexing field. Ohlman published a variety of papers on Permuterm and other Information Science and Technology and communication topics, which are now at the Charles Babbage Institute at The University of Minnesota. [edit] PermutermOhlman first started work on information indexing in 1957 (working for SDC) when he noticed the peek-a-boo (coordinate) indexing system that searched for documents at the Lincoln Laboratory wasted space on most of the cards. Ohlman developed a system using IBM punch cards and tabulating machines that used one punch card for every document title, with significant title words on each card. The cards were sorted and run through a printer to produce the final result. Ohlman named this result a "permutation index" (or Permuterm for short) because the words went through a cyclic permutation process. The first actual permutation index was issued later that year as a subject guide to SAGE programming documents--based on 1,800 documents (2/3 from the Lincoln Laboratory). In 1958 Ohlman submitted a paper titled "Subject-word letter frequencies with applications to superimposed coding" to the International Conference on Scientific Information (ICSI) in Washington, DC. The paper was accepted by the chairman of Section 5, Hans Peter Luhn. At the conference, Ohlman saw the "perfect way to demonstrate the speed and automation features of permutation indexing to information science and technology colleagues." He presented a mechanically produced index (using IBM punch cards) to conference pre-print papers. For his presentation, entries were selected not just from titles, but also author names and affiliations, headings, captions, sentences, and even phrases selected for their significance as thought units. [edit] KWICAt the same time, Hans Peter Luhn (working with IBM) distributed his paper titled "Bibliography and index: Literature on information retrieval and machine translation", which contained "titles indexed by Key Words-in-Context system", or KWIC. While the appearance of the printed indexes were practically identical, Ohlman's index was produced entirely with IBM tabulating machines. Luhn's system used punched cards only for input, converted the data to punched-paper tape, and used a computer to produce the final index. According to some sources, Ohlman's work preceded Luhn's work on KWIC. "Luhn's term for the approach happened to be more "catchy" and stuck but Ohlman's work was just as important, and possibly, preceded Luhn's work on KWIC.", says Robert V. Williams, Professor and Director of the Office of Research, College of Mass communication and Information Studies at the University of South Carolina. [edit] Other Notable WorkOhlman was the founding Chairman of the American Society for Information Science and Technology SIG Education for Information Science (served from 1966-1977) and the Chairman for the ASIS SIG on Information Retention (1967). He also chaired several other SIGs during his career, as well as having numerous papers published on Information Science and communication. He worked for a variety of companies, including:
He was also a consultant in information science and technology for the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. McClellan's blog delved into his feelings and thoughts regarding his attraction to little girls (LGs as he calls them). He has also posted material on different occasions explaining the best places for pedophiles to find little girls. His website is currently shut down. While admitting his attraction to little girls, he has reportedly not acted on it, and consequently police have been unable to take action. Parents are outraged by his galleries of photos of little girls and detailed descriptions of where to find these children. Police have distributed flyers in the community to inform parents of the potential danger. McClellan currently resides in Los Angeles and has been spotted in Santa Monica. He previously had lived in Washington State, but explains he was chased out. The Santa Monica Police Department has put his picture on their website and McClellan is considering a lawsuit against the department. [edit] "Lal Kitab"
Lal Kitab is a branch of Vedic astrology. It is a book written during the period of 1939-1952 in ancient Urdu language. Lal Kitab introduced a new style of horoscope analysis with quick and affordable remedies. Authorship of the books seems to be disputed. However, research shows that the books were written by Pt. Roop Chand Joshi. Lal Kitab throws sufficient light over vivid dimensions of human life which were never discussed in classical astrology. It covers the modern lifestyle and day to day events which were hard to find in classical astrology. It is important to note that palmistry, Vastu & phrenology are also part and parcel of the Lal Kitab. Wide coverage of topics put Lal Kitab in the class of ancient Hindu Samhitas like Brihat Samhita and Narad Samhita. There are many web sites which gives detail information about lal kitab and its unique concept of prediction and remedies. some of them are http://www.astrosage.com/lalkitab/ http://www.astrocamp.com [edit] Sources203.197.78.226 06:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC) [[Category:Articles for creation templates|{{PAGENAME}}]]

[edit] Untitled (Ross Patrick)

This request for creation has been reviewed. The reviewer comments appear below the article text.
If you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there. The work of Ross Patrick has evolved from a vigorous exploration of form and formlessness. Whereas his earlier work had been concerned with advancing technical skills through experimentation of various mediums and practicing these through representation, a natural progression led him to test ideas and materials that were not so familiar. Ross Patrick’s earlier work had functioned mainly in the realm of representation and the hyper-real, although a recent evaluation of his work had now made him reconsider the values of art objects that do not rely on looking like the original from which they may have been crafted, and so he began to dabble with formlessness and the properties it brings with it. He soon started constructing forms that did not rely on any premeditated concept or “blueprint” taking a more free approach to making work and not worrying about how the resolved work might look, leaving the objects themselves to rely solely on aesthetics to please the viewer. But it wasn’t long before he realised that the more abstract/formless work that he had been making was being continually criticized by his peers. Ross Patrick states, “I had noticed that the comments being made were associating my ‘forms’ with objects that already existed in the world. This played an important part in my works conception and was a real turning point, this realisation showed me that any abstract or ‘formless’ object can and will always be broken down or perceived by the viewer however they want, the viewer filling in any gaps in the work they may need to make a decision as to whether or not a work was successful or not.” Ross’ reading, experiments and thinking of form has now led him to react in several different ways when resolving his works, all of which approach form and how we see things from a more ‘educated’ perspective. The works and writings of Carle Andre and Donald Judd had primed Ross with a fresh way of thinking of the sculptural object and a recent trip to New York had given him a chance to look at my work in a different light. So rather than cutting-loose skills he had developed through experience in favour of an enthusiasm over formless work, he decided that it made sense to use aspects of both areas by developing ideas which perhaps challenge how we see things by investigating areas such as scale, re-presentation and abstract forms. As well as form, Ross Patricks work has also become increasingly influenced by the ideas of the late French theorist Jean Baudrillard, particularly his writings on reality and simulation, Baudrillard claims that our society has replaced all reality and meaning with symbols and signs and that all that we know as real is actually a simulation of reality. Ross feels that he is currently making work that operates in this area of perception, making fakes or simulations as perhaps pranks that distort a viewer’s judgement but which fully display there artificiality on closer inspection. Ross explains, “Where there is art that operates in the relational sphere through ‘relational aesthetics’, my work operates around the borders of this realm offering the viewer objects to contemplate and decipher. I see relational work as a gross condition of contemporary society offering us a crude insight into our modern social dysfunction which regulates inter human encounters instead of highlighting the reasons why it feels we need such systems in place. I am interested in the different tones of everyday life with its absurd and troubling aspects and so the work I have made derives from themes of ‘play’ and adolescent rebellion, overall I want the work to subtly examine the failing areas of contemporary society where human emotion and interaction have evolved into areas of alienation. Artists such as Dan Colen, Terence Koh and Roman Signer have been important influences to how I have approached my practice making me consider elements of the ‘overlooked’, the live event and the ‘artefact’. My work in its conception therefore has takes many separate forms with each form acting as an ‘artefact’ or re-presentation of reality borrowing from properties of both representation and abstraction by distorting objects through association.” [edit] SourcesJean Baudrillard. [edit] Adriano Bulla
Writer, poet, literary critic. Born in Italy and educated in different universities at graduate and post-graduate level. Previously a lecturer of literature in higher education in Milan, an ESOL tutor and lecturer, he now teaches English at Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College in London. His earliest publications are in the late 90's, with atricles about composition, the Modernists and Derek Wallcott. He has also published in 'The Guardian' [9]and published a collection of short stories, 'Illuminations' in 2004 and a collection of poetry 'Ybo' and Other Lies' (ISBN 190061190) in 2005. 'Ybo' and Other Lies' collects his more experimental poems ('Ybo and 'Heaven from Hell') as well as some political poems, erotic poems and his 'Flickers'. 'Ybo is a hallucinatory journey into the subconscious, suspension dots represent inferential and subconscious links between lines and words that appear slurred and heavily apostrophated. 'Heaven from Hell' is a post-modernist and parodical journey among the dereliction of modern society. It is written in several languages including French, Latin, Italian and ancient Greek, but is mainly in English. It clearly refers to Eliot's 'The Waste Land' in strucure and theme, but does not seem to find a solution at the end, the fragments remain fragments, the sould does not come to new life. Themes within the poem are war, the theatre as a symbol of life (the refrain'We cannot drop the curtain' may refer to suicide), ancient mythology and literature itself. 'Flickers' are short spiritual landscape with very visual images, strong, isolated sounds and harsh flavours. He is currently said to be working on a novel, 'Case Study' and rumoured to be working on another novel to be published under a pen name. === Sources === [edit] Sources http://www.ukpoetrylive.page.tl/Nuances-of-Feelings%2C-Adriano-Bulla-h-s--h-Flickers-h-.htm http://www.scilt.stir.ac.uk/Languagesnews/TEFL/tefl200381.htm Adriano Bulla, 'Ybo and Other Lies' Poetry Monthly Press, ISBN 1906126190 http://www.amazon.ca/Ybo-Adriano-Bulla/dp/1905126182 http://www.bokfynd.nu/1905126182.html http://www.amazon.de/Ybo-Other-Lies-Adriano-Bulla/dp/1905126182 --> ({subst:afc bio}} |

[edit] The True Story of How i met my wife
How I Met My Wife Read it for me Doesn't work? Email this story to a friend
'Hi, Matthew, I heard you were looking for these! My name is Joshua .' As we talked, I couldn't stop looking at her amazing eyes, her incredible smile, and her beautiful cameras. 'Will you take me to where you found this?' I asked. 'Sure,' she said, 'It's right over there in sesame street .' As we walked there, we found a restaurant that served delicious fried ducks and powerful drinks made of vodka and tights. The next thing I knew, we were back in my apartment and licking passionately. After a whole night of rubbing, I knew I was in love with her. After 4 months, I proposed to her. I still remember her saying 'Yes' as I slipped the ring onto her onion bagel. At the wedding, she said to me, 'You know what I love about you, Matt? You're tall, handsome and massively obeses, of course, but what I love most is your sense of humor and your pimply smile. Of course the fact that we both love men in dog suits doesn't hurt either.' Now, 12.2 years later, we are still together, living in a flat house in on the back of a giant fling swan of love with our 6 children and our pet soap, dances with wolves. But even after all this time, I still remember the time that I met my wife, and a feeling of ribcage fills my heart.

[edit] WikiYou
{{otheruses3|WikiYou}} WikiYou.com is a collaborative based social network launched in alpha test in July 2007 by Jay Gould and Aaron Cohen [1]. WikiYou differentiates itself from MySpace, FaceBook and other social networks by allowing anyone to create or edit any persons profile. If you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there. Baroque Chamber Orchestra “Veracruz Chanterelle” was created in December 2006. It is a Baroque Orchestra based in the Mexican State of Veracruz, which mission is to promote the European and Latin-American Baroque Repertoire with original instruments using performing practice techniques. This Chamber Orchestra specializes in the Latin American Baroque repertoire and uses instruments made by the Luthier Nahum Landa of Xalapa, Veracruz. Chanterelle also uses instruments of the Folklore of the “Sotavento Area” of Veracruz, which are related to the continuo instruments used in the baroque music in Europe. The Costa Rican violist Edmundo Ramirez, who is the conductor and concertmaster of the orchestra, created the project. Mr. Ramirez lives between the Xalapa, Mexico and New York City and has an active musical career in Europe, Asia and Latin-America, besides working as Artistic Consultant for organizations such as Youth Orchestra of the Americas in Washington D.C. The Mexican Luthier Nahum Landa studied in Cremona, Italy and has created a new constructing method called Neo-Baroque. The Chamber Orchestra Veracruz Chanterelle is a project of great impact for the Classical Music development of the State of Veracruz in Mexico, because it is unique in its concept and because it brings the best young musicians and professionals of the area. In addition to that, it is creating a new alternative and musical space in the music scene in Mexico.

[edit] Wieża Ciśnień
Wieża Ciśnień is a water tower situated in Borek, the district of Krzyki that is the southern administrative borough of Wrocław, Poland. The water tower at Sudecka Street in Wrocław was designed by Karl Klimm, a reputed local architect. Famed at the turn of the last century, Klimm also designed the impressive building of the High School of Construction Engineering and Machinery (the today’s Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Technology) and the Zwierzyniecki Bridge (formerly known as the Pass Bridge). Built 1904-1905 beside Wiśniowa Avenue and Sudecka Street junction, the tower supplied water to the residents of the southern districts of Wrocław for many years. The tower is 63 meters high. It was equipped with an electric lift from the very beginning. From June 1906 the lift allowed people to reach an observation deck situated at a height of 42 meters (the ticket cost 10 pfennig), from which one could admire the vista of Wrocław and its surroundings. Two years later a red flag used to be hung at the top to inform people about very good viewing of the Sudety Mountains on a given day. Two sculptors, Taschner and Bednorz, decorated the lower part of the building with bas-reliefs in sandstone, representing fantastic creatures reminiscent of medieval bestiaries. From a fountain situated on the north-eastern façade flowed crystal clear water that had its source in the tower’s vault. The fountain once depicted a nymph mounting Triton. This giant brick construction was modelled on medieval castles. The tower was placed on solid foundations, which housed flats for company employees operating the water supply system. During the Battle of Festung Breslau in 1945 the tower served as a command point. The surrounding area was heavily bombed and damaged in raging combat, yet the tower remained almost intact during World War II. However, the war and the following years saw the tower suffer greatly from neglect. Until the mid eighties the tower served as a reservoir, equalizing water pressure for the southern districts. In 1995 the tower was purchased from the city by the Stephan Elektronik Investment Company. The building was rejuvenated and started its new life as a stylish restaurant complex. [edit] Weblinks

[edit] Knorr-Bremse MG35/36
Knorr-Bremse MG35/36 This Machine Gun originated in Sweden & was designed by Lauf & Przkalla in 1933. Known as the LH33 it was supplied to the Swedish Army under the designation of KG m/40 (Kulsprutegevär m/40) in 6.5mm Caliber.
It seems likely that Knorr-Bremse was attracted by the prospect of large Military contracts to the rapidly expanding Wehrmacht & decided to enter the Arms Business & making some modifications produced the weapon as the MG35/36. Modifications from the original Swedish LH33 design included a simplified Gas feed channel, Deletion of the Incremental Gas Feed Regulator, simplified Bi-pod including moving the Bi-pod approximately 100mm rearward from the muzzle end for stability, simplified Trigger Group & Housing, deleting the double Trigger & adding a simplified pistol grip. As such the Knorr-Bremse MG35/36 is a conventional gas operated light Machine Gun using a tipping bolt & which fed rounds from a box magazine on the left hand side, A quick release nut on the Breech end facilitated quick barrel changes & for reasons never understood or explained the last 75mm of the barrel at the muzzle end was smooth-bored. Faults inherent in the design included a safety catch which if not properly applied could hold the operating Bolt three quarters cocked without the sear being engaged, subsequent release of the safety with a loaded Magazine in place would release the bolt, chamber a round of ammunition & fire. Firing vibrations & a weak mounting point for the butt often led to the butt coming loose & falling off. These design faults & a lack of features that would have set it apart from other contemporary Light Machine Guns forced the German Army to turn the weapon down, However numbers were sold to the emerging Waffen SS since procurement through a Hostile Wehrmacht control system limited the availability of the most modern weapons from Germany's ordinance industries. Use even by the Waffen SS seems to have been limited to use in a training role until sufficient stocks of Czech ZB26 & MG34's were available, whereupon the MG35/36 was offloaded to the various SS Foreign Legions by then engaged in fighting on the Russian Front. Despite an assumption made on this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kg/1940_Light_machine_gun that the weapon led to the development of the FG42 & H&K series there is absolutely no indication within the design of the MG35/36 in which one can draw this conclusion, quite simply there is not a single design feature which either weapon shares. In fact the Swedish LH33 (MG35/36 predecessor) used a tipping Double Trigger for semi or Full Automatic fire as used in Waffenfabrik Solothurn AG's MG30 & Mauserwerke's improved MG34. One could infer from this, that rather than the LH33 influencing the design of the FG42, Solothurn's MG30 influenced the Swedish LH33. [edit] The Algonquin Club of Boston
On October 16, 1885, fifty prominent businessmen convened for the purpose of discussing the formation of a new social club. Just five months later, on March 9, 1886, by a special act of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Algonquin Club of Boston was incorporated. Land was subsequently purchased at 217 Commonwealth Avenue and the most important architectural firm of the day, McKim, Mead & White of New York (designers of the Boston Public Library and Museum of Fine Arts, as well as Penn Station in New York City) was chosen to design the new club. Two years later, on November 8, 1888, the magnificent Algonquin Club of Boston was formally opened amidst "fitting ceremonies"…thus inaugurating more than a century of Old World charm, exquisite dining and impeccable service for members and guests alike. Over the years, Presidents, heads of state, foreign dignitaries and preeminent local and national leaders have enjoyed visiting the Club. Today, the Algonquin Club of Boston has the same charm and attention to service that made it so attractive on its opening day in November 1888. The founding members wanted to create a place where family, friends and associates could gather in the spirit of fellowship to enjoy dining at its finest, in an ambiance unparalleled anywhere in the city...in this respect, the Algonquin Club of Boston will never change. Tony was born in Macclesfield in the north of England in 1965, though he moved to Oban on the West coast of Scotland in the late 1970's. He studied archaeology at Glasgow University and after graduating stayed on to do a PhD on prehistoric hunter gatherers. After obtaining his PhD in 1995 he spent two years living in Brighton while working for the field archaeology unit of University College London. In 1997 he returned to Glasgow to work for Glasgow University Archaeological Research Division (GUARD). Following a first visit to South Africa in 1999 he carried out a project investigating battlefields from the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879. In 2000 he co-organised, with Phil Freeman of Liverpool University, the first ever international conference on Battlefield Archaeology. He then went on to make two series of Two Men in a Trench which introduced the public to the archaeology of British battlefields. The Centre for Battlefield Archaeology was founded in 2006 and Tony appointed its Director. Since then the Centre has gone on to offer the world's first post-graduate course in Battlefield and Conflict Archaeology. The Centre has carried out various projects which include the examination of Jacobite battlefields in Scotland (including Culloden) and most recently the investigation of British and Australian mass graves from WWI at Fromelles in France. He has written numerous papers and articles on archaeology and military history and edited several books on subjects as diverse as the early prehistory of Scotland and the archaeology of death. Along with Neil Oliver he wrote the two books accompanying the Two Men in a Trench programmes. [edit] Peter Michael Vinyard
Peter, along with Brother-in-Law Robin Mincik, had been developing Compucar since the early 1990's and it began trading in 1996. Compucar is as an Underwriting Agency and holds a number of Management Authority schemes with leading UK insurers. Compucar is also a software house, and works to create software for the insurance industry, this software includes the main compucar platform, which it uses to issue its policies through. Compucar is based in Cavenham, Suffolk, and trades throughout the UK and Ireland. The importance of Compucar in the Motor industry can not be understated. It created an explosion of what would become an industy of on-demand insurance. Where vehicle-cover could be assured for a few hours, instead of months or days. Peter Vinyard and his team at Compucar implemented this system, and watched it grow into what is now becoming standard for the industry. In August of 1946, Peter was born in Ipswich, England. He left school headed for a career in panel-beating. After establishing himself in his trade, he turned his attention towards setting up his own garage, which he did in Woodbridge, Suffolk. From here, he rapidly built up an array of garages across East-Anglia, and used the money generated from these to embark on a Business career which spanned the motor, catering, financial and retail industries, across the UK and Europe. These interests included at one point holding the UK rights for the American Donutland franchise. Peter has Two sons and Two daughters, and he currently lives in Cavenham, Suffolk with his wife Carol-Gaye and son Dominic.
