[edit] Lighter Technology.
Lighters are an amazing thing, and indeed a fun toy. they are comprised of five major parts. These are the gas pedal, to release the gas held in part 2, the gas chamber. A spark is then created by a spring compressing a small piece of flint against the sparkatron, a rough piece of metal striking the flint to ignite for endless fun.

[edit] The Ritual Of The Trout
The Ritual Of The Trout is a dance referred to in booklet for Green Day's 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. It is named so because when a number of people preform this dance it looks like a bunch of trout out of water. The steps to the aforementioned dance are as follows (according to the booklet):
As mentioned by the writer of the segment in the booklet (thought to be Lucky Dog, a friend of the band's), this dance is frowned upon by many punks of the East Bay scene. Although, it is said that this is tolerated at Green Day shows. The main group said to preform this dance is the "Benicia Girls." Girls from the town of Benicia that allegedly tried to act cool at punk shows by poorly imitating the "metal guys." The girls are referred to as "poseurs" a few times. [edit] Lobsters Amateur Football
TOURNAMENT REVIEW – CORPORATE GAMES NOVEMBER 25-26, 2006 Day 1 – Kevin Bartlett Reserve Match 1: BR Lobsters v Primestock Securities Prime Suspects Dennis Delights as Scholes Fan Club Erupts with Joy The BR players slowly arrived at the Richmond venue and began their warm up and stretches. Jerome Turkish Delight giving the opposition a view of what they’d be chasing all day The Lobsters kicked off their tournament with a 1-3-3-3 formation against the Prime Suspects. The real talking point around the grounds was Saz’s ruby red boots, obviously designed to burn his opponents’ retinas.
It took the team the first half to get settled into a good rhythm. The match went to half time without either team troubling the scorers. Buoyed by a stellar half-time address by team manager Johnny Greendog and an emotional tirade by spiritual leader Jimmy Floyd Tsai, the Lobsters went into the second half with goals on their mind.
The Lobster’s defence made sure nothing got passed them, with Robin the Young Ones and Dave Hitman Hartley punishing any loose balls, sending them either toward the Lobster’s attacking half, on the change room roof or onto the Richmond train track. After a forward move by BR and a miss-kick by the Prime Suspects’ goalkeeper, Eric the Eel Lubeinho gathered the ball then slipped passed the keeper and slotted the ball into the back of the net.
With a deserved lead, the Lobster looked to extend their lead and seal the win. Enter Paul Scholes (aka Andrew Dennis).
After a run down the wing and a cross toward goal by Eric the Eel, the situation called for a clinical finisher. Dennis Scholes, the speedy Scotsman, found himself in unfamiliar territory up front after playing the warm up matches as a left back. However, neither this nor the 6 pots and a parma he consumed the night before deterred him. With the newly formed Scholes fan club urging their man on, he employed the now famous Crouching Tiger Hidden Dennis move as he ghosted into the goal mouth and finished off the Lobster’s second goal. With the defence doing their job well, including manning up on a 7-foot giant, keeper Wong-star was rarely tested. The Lobsters won 2-0. Match 2: BR Lobsters v WHK Warriors Another BR Solid Effort The Lobsters went into their second group game wanting another win to cement their position at the top end of the group table. Their next opponent was the Warriors. Paul Dr Quinn Medicine Man arrived at KB Reserve straight from T-Ball Little League with an esky full of Gatorade and an air of determination. Rumour has it he put photos of the WHK Warriors’ faces on the T-balls during batting practice to psyche himself up. The Lobsters held their formation well during their second match. Quinn slotted into defence next to Youngy, while Nadeem Sledgehammer Hussain took on the role of sweeper. He also took on the secondary role of verbally reminding the opposition how good they weren’t. Inspirational captain Nick BP Mons, despite a suspect ankle, controlled the midfield and forward line, linking up well with Eric Lubeinho.
The trio of Theo Dockers, Jerome Turkish Delight and Michael Wee Willie Winkler provided the critical link between defence and attack, all of them running their chops off all day. They were ably assisted Guus Llano who provided further grit to the backline.
The Lobsters broke the deadlock after Eric the Eel was taken down just outside the box. Youngy’s 6-foot frame managed to go unmarked as he positioned himself just in front of the goal line as Eric took the free kick. He landed the ball Youngy’s boot who proceeded to dispatch it into the back of the net. That goal was what separated the two teams at the final whistle. The Lobsters won 1-0. Match 3: BR Lobsters v Deloitte Del Boys FC Rock Lobsters Claw a Draw Knowing that a draw would send them through to the knock out round, the Lobsters played a less attacking brand of football in their final group match. Perhaps it was this mindset, plus the increasing level of fatigue throughout the squad that made this game the least pretty of the matches the Lobsters played. At half-time the score line read nil-all, with few real highlights to mention, except for David The General Hartley clearing the 80-foot light pole with a clearance from defence. In the second half the game resembled more a scrap as the Lobsters hung on for dear life. They were given a lifeline when Del Boys hit the back of the net, but the goal was adjudged to be offside. A second lifeline was given when a booming kick from the well-inside the Del Boys’ defensive half almost bounced over keeper Wongy’s head and into goal. In another notable incident, David Hitman Hartley, much to his bemusement, received the only yellow card for the Lobsters after gently nudging his opponent (according to his version of events).
It was the Lobster spirit that kept them in the game. Neil Tunderclap became somewhat of a human punching bag as he kept on putting himself in front on the defenders to win free kicks for the Lobsters, whilst Sazadine Zidane continued to dazzle with his red shoes. Ironically, it was the reflection of the sun off his ruby slippers that caused him to be momentarily dazed and miss a close header in the dying minutes of the match. However, a draw was enough for the Lobsters to earn their play in Altona on Day 2 – the knockout stage. The Lobsters drew 0-0.
Day 2 – Altona Magic 1st knock out match: Kmart Typhoons (seeded 12) versus BR (seeded 21) Black Day for Lobsters as a Kmart Special Finds its way into the back of the Lobster Net The Lobsters made their way to the picturesque Altona grounds. After a telephone malfunction, playmaker Eric the Eel did not take his starting position. Guus Llano had succumbed to a thigh injury, so the Lobsters only had two players on the reserve bench. So, with a re-shuffled line-up, the Lobsters prepared to take on the might and power of the Kmart Typhoons. After a slow start by the Lobsters, the Typhoons pounced and in a moment of confusion slotted through a goal – the first that had gotten past Wongy in the tournament. The Lobsters hung on for the rest of the first half, hoping to regroup at half time and score the all important goal. The second half was much better by the Lobsters, in the face of some heavy marking by Kmart. Nadeem Sledgehammer Hussain attempted to unsettle the opposition through some verbal games. Youngy was thrown into the midfield and Dr Quinn took on a more attacking role. These two both had good long range shots which narrowly missed the goals. Nick BP Mons also had a couple of chances. Unfortunately the Lobsters couldn’t score the goal they desperately needed. The Lobsters were defeated 0-1.
The team can hold their heads and claws high for their efforts to make it into the second round. Focus now turns to the 2007 campaign. Pre-season starts on Wednesday at Treasury Gardens. http://www.corporategames.net.au/aus/

[edit] Nick Vasallo
(b. October 28, 1979 in Oakland, California USA) is an Asian American composer, guitarist, singer, and music theorist. He is best known for his use of "Eclecticism" in his compositions as well as the inescapable darkness within his music. He was the guitarist, singer, and songwriter for the American heavy metal band Antagony[1]. Vasallo mainly plays guitar and sings but has been known to play/improvise on the piano. Vasallo has received an award for his choral piece "Lumen et Tenebras"[2] and as a young film composer [3], he has received recognition for his scores in both Film and Television[4][5]. Nick Vasallo is currently completing his DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) at University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) with a specialization in World Music [6]. [edit] Biography[edit] Early YearsVasallo was raised from a quite unmusical family; neither of his parents were musicians. His father, Ricardo Vasallo, is a Filipino Certified Public Accountant and his mother, Shu-Yun Vasallo, is a Taiwanese landscape designer. Nevertheless, Vasallo's father was a music aficionado and introduced Nick to music at a young age [7] which sparked the composer's passion for the art. As a child he had a proclivity towards Art and won several awards from Elementary School through Middle School. He also excelled in English & Mathematics and consequently was sent to G.A.T.E. (Gifted and Talented Education) at the age of 8. In high school, Vasallo found his musical calling after learning how to play the guitar. Around the same time he was diagnosed with hypomania and received therapy throughout his young adulthood [8]. During his early years in college, Vasallo was indecisive and had little if no direction with his (academic) life; he majored in Psychology, Liberal Arts, Business, and Computer Science. It wasn't until the age of 23 when he decided to go with his passion and dedicate his life to music.[9] [edit] Musical Training[edit] Heavy MetalHis autodidactic early musical training and his first compositions began as a teenager playing guitar and singing in heavy metal and punk bands. Vasallo spent his young adulthood (1998-2006) touring around the United States with his band Antagony, playing with such acts as Dying Fetus, Grimple, Dystopia, Fang, Grave, Goatwhore, Brujeria, and many others. Antagony's influence in the California Bay Area Metal Scene was substantial [10][[11]][12]; their dark sound, evolutionary forms and mixing of genres was widely imitated. Members of Antagony went on to join and start other bands such as Hacksaw to the Throat, All Shall Perish, and Suffokate. [edit] ClassicalVasallo's formal musical training did not begin until the age of 23 at California State University East Bay [13] in Hayward, where he studied Music Theory, Harmony, Compostion, Counterpoint, Form and Anaylsis with composers: Frank LaRocca, Jeffrey Miller, and Rafael Hernandez [14]. It was at CSU East Bay where Vasallo has said he found his "eclectic" sound:
[edit] Film, Television, and MediaVasallo's work in Film and Television has earned him some notoriety; his soundtrack for Planned Parenthood's now banned video on Pro-Choice, "A Superhero For Choice" [15][16], created a stir in the Summer of 2005 [17][18] and shutdown his website [19][20]) for a week after exceeding his allowed bandwidth [21], earned a mention in the New York Times and CNN [22], and was blogged in hundreds of Conservative websites. Vasallo was the original composer for Design Storm/Storytime Picture's TV show "Iron Kid" [23] (original USA version) which is now a big CGI (Computer-generated imagery) hit playing on major networks in Korea, United States of America, Spain, France, and throughout Europe. His most recent soundtrack for the feature "Duplicity" premiered at United Artists Emery Bay in October 2006. [24]. Vasallo's score for the psychological thriller "Sinful" greatly added to the emotional depth of the film and earned a New Jersey International Film Festival Best Film nomination [25][26][27]. [edit] Princess Katherine of Laos
Princess Katherine of the People's Republic of Laos & Governing Territories (Katherine Pouttapone Rania Alexandra Tisciane Viratham Phanouvong) born 4 March 1987, is the oldest daughter of Crown Prince Somsack and Princess Manivanh of Laos. She is, figuratively, second in the line of succession of Laos. The Royal Family of Laos is no longer enthroned due to the communist Pathet Lao coming to power in 1975. Princess Katherine was born in the state of California, U.S., where her parents resided in Orange-Villa Park for a few years living in seclusion before opting for an even more private and secluded life in the state of Washington where her younger sister, Phonsavanh, was born (she currently holds no official title).
[edit] Early LifeThe crown prince and princess desired for their girls a normal life. Katherine and her family lived in Villa Park, California until her parents opted for a quieter and more peaceful homestead in the Pacific Northwest. This resulted in the princess's enrollment in local area schools instead of the traditional style of education for the royal family of personal and private tutelage. She attended primary and secondary schools in Washington and is currently enrolled in University. When the princess was younger, she was also known to be an avid gymnast competing in several meets. [edit] Personal LifeThe Princess is said to lead a low-key life, shielded out and away from the conflict of the current and presiding communist regime. She is very private, and due to the fact that the royal family is no longer in power, rarely carries out any official duties. The royal family's official duties only consist of appearances at national celebrations and festivals. She is a huge fan of football (playing on her high school team) and the american game of baseball. Princess Katherine can often be seen at football games in support of her friends Nicholas Cunningham Edwards, and the super duo cousins Dean Riesgraf-Emerson, and Frederick Giovanni-Riesgraf who play in semi-pro leagues of the English Premier League, such as Fulham FC and Chelsea. Her current education and career interests dabble in that of the media and political spectrum. The princess has received multiple awards for her achievements in broadcasting, including receiving a "Superior" ranking for On-Air Reporting at the 2005 National Write-Off Competition for the Journalism Education Association (JEA).

[edit] Kirsten Costas
[edit] The caseOn June 21, 1984, Kirsten's mother received a phone-call. A girl who claimed to be one of the ”Bobbies” (i. e. ”Bob-o-links”, a sorority-like group at school) told Berit Costas that Kirsten was invited to a dinner for the new group members. According to Bernadette's later testimony, she had planned to take Kirsten to party in order to befriend her, but Kirsten got angry when she was told that there was no dinner for the new ”Bobbies”. The girls quarrelled, and Kirsten fled to the Arnold family living nearby, telling them that her friend had gone ”weird”. When Kirsten could not reach her parents by telephone, X Arnold drove her home, noticing that a Pinto – the Prottis' family car – was following them. At the Costases home, Arnold, sitting in his car, saw how Berndette attacked Kirsten. He thought he was seeing a fist-fight, but in fact, Bernadette stabbed Kirsten five times with a kitchen knife and fled. The Costases neighbours called an ambulance, but Kirsten was mortally wounded and died at a nearby hospital. It took the police almost six months to find Kirsten's killer. After Bernadette had passed a lie detector test, the police did not bother to check her alibi. For the people of Orinda, the main suspect was another girl, an unpopular outcast who had never concealed her dislike of Kirsten. After checking Bernadette's alibi and rereading her lie detector test, the police knew that the girl had lied. After a talking-to by an FBI Officer, Bernadette wrote her mother a letter in which she made a full confession, deeply regretting what she had done. Bernadette claimed to have found the kitchen knife by chance, and her elder sister Gina testified in court that she used to have that knife in her car to cut vegetables. The Costases did not believe Bernadette's story – they said that nobody would use an inch-long knife to slice tomatoes and that Bernadette, casually dressed on that evening, never intended to take Kirsten to a party, but had coldbloodedly planned the murder. Bernadette was sentenced to a maximum of nine years and sent to a youth prison. [edit] AftermathThe Costases left Orinda and moved to Hawaii. Bernadette Protti was released from prison in 1992 at the age of 23. Kirsten's parents vehemently opposed Protti's release. Kirsten's and Bernadette's classmates who graduated from High School in 1986, celebrated their reunion in 2006. [edit] FilmIn 1992, the story was made into the movie ”A Friend to Die For” with Tori Spelling as Kirsten (”Stacy Lockwood”) and Kellie Martin as Bernadette (”Angela Delvecchio”). In the movie, the story is told from Bernadette's point of view – she is portrayed as the real victim who killed her classmate – portrayed as a mean-spirited bully, constantly teasing girls she does not like – in fit of helpless rage. [edit] Canon Horace Baugh
Thank you for your comments. Let me provide you with some background. Canon Baugh is a Quebec celebratory. He regularly appeared in newspapers and television while performing his annual blessing of pets. He is as well known as many movie stars who appear in the encyclopaedia. Canon Baugh has affected the lives of all Montrealers regardless of faith by his public contribution to the awareness of the importance of our animal friends, and by his personal perseverance of performing his duties through advanced age and declining health. He is not only worthy of inclusion as a Wiki item, his story would make a great human interest article that would be facinating reading even to those who have not heard of him. [edit] TulipWorld
TulipWorld assortment was composed by internationally renown master garden Jacqueline van der Kloet. It comprises a large variety of the most beautiful bulbs to the more uncommon varieties. TulipWorld has moved its headquarters to USA. During the last 7 years TulipWorld has very successfully sold flower bulbs and cut flowers over the internet throughout the world. In order to improve our performance as a full service company we had to make some hard decisions: As of March 12, 2007 our headquarters have moved to the USA. Now we are better able to serve our U.S. customers with much quicker delivery times, excellent call center support, and business hours that work with our U.S. customers. The bulbs will still come from our exclusive growers in Holland, these suppliers are the backbone to our business and will continue to provide only the highest quality flower bulbs and plants to our customers. At the same time we are no longer able to serve our customers outside the USA. This was a very difficult decision for our company, but we feel strongly that in order to have further successful growth of TulipWorld we have to limit our activities within the USA. We would like to thank the many faithful customers outside the USA for their patronage over the years. This system is specifically designed for efficient memorization of everyday useful information, including the information we encounter while studying different subjects. Everyday useful information includes phone numbers, addresses, names, shopping lists, things to do, etc... This system also allows a person to memorize seemingly unrelated and illogical information like sets of words, random numbers, maps and any combination of letters. [edit] Ed_Trice
Edward Trice (born December 5, 1966) is a United States-born Inventor and Entrepreneur who is most widely known for creating the Chess_variant known as Gothic_Chess. Ed wrote the Chess program, [The Sniper], which was the first software program to eclipse the 2200 barrier, demarcating a performance rating of United States Chess Federation Master, in April of 1987. The Sniper achieved this roughly four years after the Belle_(chess_machine), created by Ken_Thompson, became the first ever machine to earn the Master title. It should be noted that The Sniper ran on processors no faster than 16 MHz, and only lost to players [Stephan Rakowsky] and [Mark Eidemiller], who were both rated over 2300 at the time. Ed also co-authored the checkers program named [World Championship Checkers] with Gil Dodgen. After Gil had learned that Ed had defeated the World Champion Chinook checkers program twice in one day, (see [Wall of Honor] at October 20, 1996), the two collaborated and produced the strongest commercially available checkers software from 1997-2001. This was not the only Computer World Champion program Ed had defeated. In 1989, he won an exhibition game against the [Deep Thought] chess program, after chief programmer Feng-hsiung_Hsu insulted his commentary that there appeared to be an error in its opening book. Ed remarked that even though the program had won a pawn, it would lose the game if it played the same way against him. Feng started the game from the position in question, and on move 20, Deep Thought resigned, its quickest loss ever. In the year 2000, Ed invented the game of Gothic Chess, which adds two new pieces to the chessboard. One piece moves like a Knight_(chess) or a Bishop_(chess), called the Archbishop. The other pieces moves like Knight_(chess) or a Rook(chess), called the Chancellor. The game was innovative enough to be awarded [U.S. Patent #6,481,716] for its uniqueness and playability. Collaborating again with Gil Dodgen, they produced a very strong Gothic Chess program named Gothic Vortex. In 2004, the first ever [Gothic Chess Computer World Championship] was held, fielding entrants from four different countries. Gothic Vortex, with its ability to announce checkmate from a distance of 268 moves (see Gothic_Chess_Endgames), won handlily by the score of 14-0. Ed authored several research papers in the domain of artifical intelligence that were published by the International Computer Games Association Journal, one of which was also published in the hardback textbook, Advances In Computer Games 10. Ed was able to demonstrate that it was possible for a checkers program to fail to win a theoretically won position with as few as seven pieces on the board (four for the winning side, three for the side that should lose.) This result undermined over 40 years of artificial intelligence research. The World Championship Checkers program was the only software package capable of strongly solving over 19 billion checkers endgames, so it could win where other programs could not do so. By the year 2006, Gothic Chess had become popular enough to be considered as the preferred game for a match between long time chess archrivals Anatoly_Karpov and Bobby_Fischer. Once [Karpov signed the contract], however, Fischer became increasingly more nervous, and the match was eventually cancelled. Most recently, Ed was acknowledged as providing help with Dr. Jonathan Schaeffer's solution to the game of checkers. With 500,995,484,682,338,672,639 unique positions possible, checkers is the largest game that has been solved. [edit] Sources
