Fashion is important everywhere. People always want to be in fashion or wear the same things that everyone else wears. People judge by the way you dress and the way you shop. Well this is true for the medieval ages in Europe. In Europe not everyone agreed with the fashion but mostly it won over.

The newly rich bourgeoisie or free residents of towns in Europe were the first to dress in extravagance. The bourgeoisie later broke into 3 types of social class: upper class, middle class, and proletariat (had no wealth). Rulers tried in vain to impose laws to ban what the bourgeoisie wore because they were trying to outdo nobility in splendor. After this many people began to dress better and more fashionably.

The women’s dress included lots of layers. The woman’s kirtle (cotte) was tightly fitted and belted with narrow sleeves. Over this went a long cotehardie or a surcoat, which was deeply cut away at the sides with fur edges or a stomacher of fur and a stiffened band at the hips to carry the weight of a full gored skirt. The more formal woman’s houpplande was a robe with a wide, low V-neck, a wide belt just under the bust, and extremely long gored skirt, which, held up by the wearer or an attendant, revealed the skirt of the cotte beneath. Sometimes separate sleeves were slashed to show the puffs of white underlinen for show. Their hair was pulled up and hidden under a high, pointed, veiled hennin or wide horns giving the hairless affect.

During the 14th century the first difference was established between the upper class men and women. The lower class however continued to dress the same in tunics and shifts. Late medieval and early renaissance dress became more exaggerated and luxurious, reflecting the increasing on wealth, manners, and the fine arts. Later on the Germans copied Italian fabrics by printing designs with wood blocks. Fabric was also decorated with heraldic devices. The bourgeoisie sought the same effect by wearing particolor, or motley garments, with, for example, one leg red and the other stripped yellow and black. Motley, along with scalloped edged, was eventually only worn as livery.

Style shifted from country to country throughout Europe. The first part of the German-Swiss influence was predominate - this in turn, derived from Italy – and in the latter part of the century the foremost style center was Spain. The dress in Italy followed the international gothic style of northern Europe, which was elaborate dress, which reflected national difference. Gothic clothing also shared the same designs of the gothic architecture. Eventually the gothic style gave way to the simpler styles of the Renaissance Italy.

Clothing was a very important aspect of medieval life. People judged you by your clothing; the state of your soul and so was your social standing. The church would repeatedly tell you, if you were fashion conscious or well dresses, that tour appearance would guarantee you a seat in hell because you were vain. Dress was important enough for the lawmakers to stop people from wearing clothing that was too costly or too fashionable for their social standing.

Fashion is and has been very important for a very long time. Everyone now wears it to get a social standing but back then you had to wear what was appropriate for your social group. They took fashion even more seriously then we would ever think of. For them fashion was even important to make laws about. People would judge and get judged just by what they wore.

102.3 WXXS FM "Kiss 102.3" is a 25,000 Watt radio station serving the north-most reaches of the Granite and Green Mountain states. Project Cumulus was a UK government project in the 1950s that was investigating weather manipulation especially through cloud seeding. The project itself was closed down in 1952 after the Lynmouth flood disaster occurred days after a seeding experiment was carried out over Southern England. There are also rumours that the official documents were deliberately destroyed, certainly some classified documents are missing.

The Lancashire Hotpots are a band from Lancashire, England. They cite their influences as "Flat Caps, Tin Baths, Whippets, Pigeons, and the vowels 'e' and 'i'". Up North Battlefield League is a place for clans to compete in a league style, quite different from a ladder such as ClanBase.

The Up-North Battlefield league was founded during the summer of 2003 as a league for the growing Battlefield 1942 community. The need for an alternative to ClanBase was acknowledged by several posts in a lot of different forums. The Counter-Strike community had already pretty much abandoned ClanBase and most serious clans played in leagues.

The summer of 2005, where the Battlefield 1942 community have almost toatly died due to the relase of the "real" sequel to Battlefield 1942; Battlefield 2. It is also high time for the Up-North league to take all the experience that we have gained during the two years of running this league, and evolve the Up-North league and lead it into a new era.

John Feeley is a classical guitarist and teacher from Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland. He has been described by the Washington Post as 'Ireland's leading classical guitarist' and by Michael Dervan in the Irish Times as 'a trailblazer...when it comes to the guitar and guitar-playing in Ireland'.

Feeley is internationally renowned as a performer and teacher and he is regularly found performing and teaching around the world with appearances at such festivals as the Guitar Festival of Ireland, Bath International Guitar Festival, the Dundee International Guitar Festival, and the Wirral International Guitar Festival.

Feeley has won numerous awards including the Special Award for interpretation in the 1984 Mauro Giuliani competition, Italy. He has appeared as a soloist with The American Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, the Ulster Orchestra, the Irish Chamber Orchestra and the Contempo Quartet. He performs regularly in duet with the flautist William Dowdall.

Feeley is a particular champion of Contemporary Irish Music and in this capacity he has commissioned most of Ireland's leading composers including Seoirse Bodley, John Buckley Jerome de Bromhead, Jane O¹Leary, Brent Parker and Eric Sweeney.

Feeley has made numerous recordings for labels including K-Tel, Gael-Linn Records, CBA Classics, Ossian Records, Castle Communications and Black Box. Feeley als has a great interest in traditional Irish and Scottish music and in this capacity he has recorded with The Chieftains and published arrangements of traditional melodies through Ossian.

Feeley is Professor of Guitar at the DIT College of Music Dublin and as such he is responsible for nurturing a number of top quality young classical guitarists. His past students include all current members of the Dublin Guitar Quartet, along with Redmond O'Toole, Michael O'Toole and Alec O'Leary director of the Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland. Composers Benjamin Dwyer, Ciaran Farrell, David Fennessy, and David Flynn, all of whom have written music for Feeley, were also guitar students of his.

Sergei Efimov (Russian Cyrillic: Сергейй Эфимов, born October 15, 1987) is a Russian footballer, currently playing for FC Lokomotiv Moscow. His position is defender.

Larry Alan Virtue is the band director at Bridgeport Middle School. He has been teaching there a long time. He teaches 6th 7th, and 8th grade classes, and also the jazz band. At the age of 3 years old he attended the Conservatory of this same city and made his first contacts with the world of sounds.

At the age of 6 he moved to Lisbon and starts his violin studies with professors Vasco Brôco, Alexandra Mendes and Leonor Prado (violinists of Lisbon Gulbenkian Foundation)

He played as soloist for the first time at the age of 15 with National Radio Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Sir Silva Pereira.

In 1989 Carlos Damas represents his country in the International Music Camp, the American String Teachers Association awarded Carlos Damas for “ Excellence in Performance and Leadership".

Worked with the conductor Joseph Giunta. In the same year was awarded in the Portuguese Youth Musical Competition.

In 1990 establish residence in Paris where he attends the conservatory. Works with the great pedagogue Mrs. Jacqueline Lefévre and met with master Ivry Gitlis. In 1992 he is concertmaster of the International Orchestra of the "Cité Internationale de Paris”. During this years he work under orientation of Sir Yehudi Menhuin.

As soloist collaborate with different orchestras as the Orchestre Jeune Philarmonie, Camerata de St. Severin, etc. Also invited to participate in the Eastern Music festival and to collaborate with Santo Domingo Symphonic Orchestra.

Was the concertmaster of the Orchestre de La Cité, Paris during three years. In 1993 Carlos Damas played for the first time in Paris the violin Concerto by the Portuguese composer Luis de Freitas Branco.

Participated in Masterclasses by the Master Shlomo Mintz.

Graduate in 1993 with the best classification by unanimity of the jury.

In 1995 appears his first recording with the label Numérica (Portugal)Make also this year one very successfully tournée in Spain. Give masterclasses in Conservatório Superior de Música de Zaragoza.

In 1996 was invited to participate in the Sammering Festival and Worked with Dora ,Schwarzberg and the pianist Yuri Smirnov. Participate in the Salzburg Mozart Festival.

September 1996 was invited to assistant concertmaster of Macau Chamber Orchestra, later on also played as second violin principal. In China played with the Orchestra of Macau, Canton Symphony and Hong-Kong Philarmonic.

In I997second C.D edition for Tradisom (Macau-Asia Portugal). Participate in Macau Music Festival, Arts Festival of Macau and was the only European to be invited to the 5th Arts Festival of R.P China.

In 1997 receive in heritance, one fine violin from Mr. Marceau, ex pupil of master David Oistrakh.

From 1998 until 2000, Mr. Carlos Damas, have been playing regulary in chamber music and as soloist, in Europe, Asia and America. He made a successful tourné with Madeira Camerata, playing the Bach violin Concertos.

In 2001 new CD, with works for unacopained violin by Bach, Lopes-Graça, Prokofiev and Yan-Jun-Hua.

In 2002 Mr. Damas played the 10 Beethoven violin sonatas in 40 concerts in Spain and France. Five concerts with Brahms piano Quartet, six concerts with Prokofiev Quintet with winds. For 2003/4 Mr. Damas have already tournés in Japan, Korea and Europe with the Luis de Freitas Branco violin Sonatas.

In 2004 was released a CD with a live recording of Beethoven sonatas for violin and piano nº4 and nº5. In 2004 the name of Carlos Damas was considerated by the www.theviolinsite.com, as a prominent international violinist.

On December 2006 was realesed on the international market the cdModern Music for solo Violin, which includes two world premiéres recordings one by the composer Sérgio Azevedo the other by Fernando Lopes-Graça, this album was in destak on the international specialized press.

The composer Sérgio Azevedo dedicated his Sonatas for violin solo and the Serenata for violin and string orchestra to Carlos Damas, the Serenata will be premiéred during the 2007/2008 season. s

Joshua Kulick is an American drummer born in Topeka, KS. He plays the drums for a band called Through the Eyes of the Dead. Joining the band in 2005, with the new bassist Jake Ososkie of Arsis fame. The two join guitarists Justin Longshore and Chris Anderson, and vocalist Anthony Gunnels, who helps give TTEOTD its terrifying sound. Gunnels was later relieved of the vocalist duties and replaced with Nate Johnson of Premonitions of War.

The Pete Moss Band was officially born in 2005.

Jeff, Jessie, Erick and Dane, high school buddies, had been jamming in Jeff's garage for several months. One afternoon Jeff saw his dad spreading peat moss on the yard. Not being the world's most proficient speller, he announced to the world the birth of The PETE Moss Band. Peat Moss never made the scene. Oh, for Pete's sake it doesn't matter ...

The guys moved out of the garage and into the local rock scene. You can catch them frequently at Jazzbones or Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma or you can find them at numerous festivals and fairs in the South Sound area. They have done very well in various "battle of the bands" competitions and have developed a loyal and growing following.

Brigade General Richard T. Kight(died June 17, 2001)was commander of the U.S. Air Rescue Service from 1946-1952, and penned the Pararescue Creed: It is my duty as a Pararescueman to save life and to aid the injured. Ralph Orr has served as college president at Tillamook Bay Community College in Oregon and also Northland Pioneer College in Arizona. He has also spent time as a staff member at Eastern Arizona College in Arizona.

On April 17, 2007, the Navajo County Community College District Governing Board terminated the contract of Ralph Orr, effective immediately. Mark Vest, Vice President for Student Services, was named Acting President of Northland Pioneer College. The faculty, administration, staff, students and community members were very greatful for the governing board's decision.
