Studio Music & Lyrics is a small studio & rehearsalroom in Groningen, The Netherlands. Where some local bands come and play. But also some great names played in this basement. Bands and musicians who played at Music & Lyrics are Mike Keneally, Louw Leeuw, Gerrit Veen, Lefthand Freddy, Full Minties, New Reality, Atama, Nans, Postponers, Bleakstone, Ashura, Hoexum Passengers, Noint?, Rico Disco, Silver Spiral, Yonathan, Janco, Fenny etc.

The studio sessions turn into beautifull bandplay recordings. There will be more energy into the sound.

It still is a foundation with Gerjan Kelder as reprazent. Management, engineer and technics are some parts for Lammert Sietsma.

Wesley has been a professional dog sledder for 4 years. He is a young Asian gentleman who just wants to be the best. In his spare time he enjoys playing hockey or the Willowdale Blackhawks. His biggest superstition is that he sleds with his hockey helmet. He is currently injured with ichini disease. Wesley's motivator and mentor is Steve Cooper. Steve is a parent of Mitch on the Willowdlae Blackhawks and advises Wesley to look where he passes.

The Wheaton Warrenville South Tiger Marching Band is cool. They've gotten first in thier dvision in state several times, made it to finals, and performed many really good shows. Please, feel free to edit this page with awards and shows that the band has received in the past and present.

Popularized in recent years, the term "prawayer" is slang for the often unstoppable combination of profile and away message, or "awayer," on any instant messenger service, such as America Online Instant Messenger, or AIM.

The term first entered mainstream pop culture in the weeks leading up to Saint Patrick's Day 2006, when Scott would relentlessly post information in his prawayer about how many times he was going to watch Boondock Saints or how early he was going to wake up to drink green beer or how magical his zephyr was. A famosa Noite Oficial dos Ufos no Brasil, em 19 de Maio de 1986, configurou a visão simultânea de 21 naves que se movimentaram durante oito horas sobre a região de São José dos Campos no Estado de São Paulo e ficou célebre por envolver o então presidente da Petrobras, Ozires Silva (fundador da Embraer e ministro da Infra-Estrutura do governo Collor). O caso foi confirmado pelo então ministro da Aeronáutica, Brigadeiro Moreira Lima, que deslocou caças de várias bases para investigar e filmar a ocorrência, permitindo aos pilotos e operadores de radar que dessem testemunhos na imprensa.

Além dos radares do CINDACTA (Centro Integrado de Defesa Aérea e Controle de Tráfego Aéreo) que detectaram trafego não identificado na área, tripulantes e passageiros de um avião comercial que se preparava para pousar em São José dos Campos (SP), avistaram luzes vermelhas, verdes e brancas movimentando-se no horizonte. Entre os ocupantes estava o então presidente da Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (EMBRAER), coronel Ozires Silva, que mandou o piloto comunicar a ocorrência ao controle aéreo do aeroporto de Congonhas. Os radares detectaram 21 pontos estranhos nos céus da região. "Não era nenhum tipo de aeronave, nuvem pesada ou satélite. Das luzes vinha um ruído diferente, que aos poucos foi parando," recorda-se Moreira Lima, que na época acionou o comando de Defesa Aérea. Dois caças Mirage decolaram da Base Aérea de Anápolis (GO), ao mesmo tempo em que dois caças F-5 saíam de Santa Cruz, subúrbio do Rio de Janeiro (RJ). Lyrics. the lyrics in the song are powrful and deal with a man that has stopped loving his partner. There is a strongh implication throughout the song material deals with a man who is about to leave his wife despite this never actually been staten in the lyrics.

Kirsty Newton is a bass guitarist, keyboard player and vocalist. She plays in the band Siskin with Galen Ayers, and also with The Distractions, Mitch Benn's backing group. Notable vocal performances with the Distractions include all the vocals on "Now He's Gone" and the voice of "famous TV star" on "West End Musical", both from the album Too Late To Cancel.

Kirsty can also, coincidentally, be seen briefly in the audience of Derren Brown's 2006 TV Special "Something Wicked This Way Comes" (she catches a Daily Mail thrown into the audience as part of the reveal for the final trick).

STALKER

The band formed in New Jersey September 1988 and recorded 'Volume 1' one month later. It was just a demo, more like a reaction than a complete thought. It was released in February of 1989 and went onto sell 10,000 copies worldwide. At the time things were happening fast. They were courted by MCA Records, Tom Whalley @ Interscope Records, Vinny Vincent and countless others. Surprised by success, they confronted it head on. They wanted to do something about it. They toured across the United States.

They appeared regularly in magazines across the world including, Rip, Powerline, Metal Edge, Live Wire, Japans Burrn and Italy s Fireball. Fans were writing from Malaysia, Holland, Romania, Brazil, Japan and Australia. They even received a letter from a fan in Indonesia who had heard us on the radio there, and had purchased a tape on the black market. The same thing happened in the U.S.S.R. ‘A friend of mine, Andy recalls, stationed in Spain, in the Navy, told me about the day his roommate showed up with a cassette of a hot new band. He had just purchased it because everyone on his ship loved it. My friend recognized my picture on the cover. His shipmate had just picked up Stalkers Volume 1’.

In 1991 they went back into the studio with producer Dave Durr (Eventide Harmonizer) and recorded ‘Last Laugh’ and ‘Find A Way’. The songs were never released.

Ahhh, the sweet smell of success! They loved it, it loved them. After three tours in just as many years they were ready to release our first album. 'Peyote Picnic' was released in 1993. A collection of monstrously digable tunes, heavy on the edges deep in the middle, and single-handedly responsible for the mass hysteria which followed.

In 1994 the band recorded two last tracks ‘Long Way Home’ and ‘Confessions’ which were also unreleased. In 1995 Stalker spilt up.

Mark went on to other projects, writing ,recording and plying live shows in the metro- politan area.

Andy, Angelo, Martin and Ruy formed The Insaints and The Fedz. They wrote and recorded dozens of songs in their studio TRG Recording in West Paterson New Jersey.

Nikodemos is a fariscean mentioned in the Gospell of John in the New Testament. In his dialouge with Jesus of Nazareth, many elements that are common in the Gospell o Joh appear, such as the lack of the Secret of Christ, the implication he "was the light and the way" and strong dualistic traits (light and darkness, good and evil). It is also implied that Nikodemos was a rabbi, as Jesus refer to his ignorance despite being "a teacher for Israel". When the farisceans claimed the law spoke against Jesus, Nikodemos objected and said he must be trialed from his actions and words before the law can judge him. He was answered with the fact the law never mention a prophet from Gaililee, implying he cannot be a prophet less he comes from Galilee. It is mentioned briefly Nikodemos faced Jesus in his grave, bringing about thirty kilos of myrrh and aloe mixed together.

MFM 92.6 is a Campus Based Community Radio Station. Whilst it was formerly known as MatieFM (and before that RadioMatie), since it attained a community broadcasting licence in 2000 it has established itself as a leader in among South African Community Radio stations, and especially among Campus based stations.

The station started operating in 1979 thanks to the initiative of members of the Student Representative council of the University of Stellenbosch - at the time known as the LSS-Committee(Langenhoven Student Centre, abbreviated in Afrikaans.It 'broadcast' via a set of speakers in the campus cafeteria known as the Langenhoven Student Centre, recently better known as the Neelsie. Musci was pplayed off 14 borrowed tapes and LP's and the equipment, a home-built mixing desk, was assembled by an enigineer studying at the university. From these humble beginnings 'broadcasting' was extended to the dinner halls of residences on campus via telephone lines. In 1994 the station was awarded a broadcasting licence and frequency, 92.6FM, it was also renamed MatieFM Stereo.

The first few years of the new millennium brought about rapid growth under the leadership of a tight-knit management and dedicated staff. In 2005 the station received a grant, enabling the upgrading of all equipment and offices to industry standards. Presenters now

Radio KDNA is the only full-time educational Spanish language public radio station in the United States.

Broadcasting on a frequency of 91.9 FM with an effective radiated power of 20,000 watts, from studios located in Granger, Washington, KDNA is owned by, and licensed to, the Northwest Communities Education Center, a not-for profit corporation. The station is governed by a minority Board of Directors representative of its listening community. In 1999 KDNA celebrated 20 years of broadcasting in the Yakima Valley.

The Jam Panda family are a family consisting of eight pandas. They are,

Ma and Pa: Pa is a mechanic and owns his own garage where he fixes cars. Ma looks after the kids and the house all day. This is harder that it sounds.

Big Bamboo: He is always eating blackurrant jam sandwiches.

Jim Jam: The mischievous toddler that Ma finds hard to control!

Turkic diaspora refers to Turkic peoples not originating from modern Turkey or its former Ottoman dominions, who live outside of their native Turkic speaking homelands. Turkic speaking homelands include sovereign nations, autonomous republics, and other geographic regions. Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan are the five independent Turkic nations outside of Turkey and its Ottoman legacy. Other non-sovereign Turkic speaking entities where the Turkic diaspora originates from include: the Uygur homeland in Chinese occupied East Turkestan, the autonomous republics of Russia (Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, Chuvashia, Khakassia, Altai Republic, Sakha Republic, and Tuva), the homeland of the Crimean Tatars found on the Crimean pennisula in the Southern Ukraine, the region of Southern Azerbaijan in Iran, the autonomous republic of Gagauzia in Moldova, as well as the traditional homelands of the Ahiska Turks of Georgia and the Turkmen of Northern Iraq. As a result of the conquest and invasion of traditional Turkic homelands (mostly by Czarist Russia and its Soviet predecessor), Turkic diasporas started forming in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The largest worldwide Turkic diaspora is found in Turkey, as the Ottoman Empire remained the nation of refuge for the mostly Muslim Turkic peoples that fled Russian conquest and pogroms. The largest of these diaspora groups that found refuge in Turkey were the Crimean Tatars who settled in the millions after the Czarist Russian conquest of the Crimean Khanate. The Crimean Tatar diaspora spread to other regions of the Ottoman Empire as today there are well settled Crimean Tatar communities in Romania and Bulgaria. Karachays, Ahiska Turks, Azeris, Turkmens, and Uzbeks also fled Czarist Russian occupation of their homelands and settled in present day Turkey. The Uygurs of Chinese occupied East Turkestan and Azeris in Iran have also sought asylum in Turkey due to poltical unrest in the later 20th century.

The Crimean Tatars were one of many Muslim and Turkic peoples that were accused by Stalin to be NAZI sympathizers and relocated to Central Asia in the years of 1943 and 1944 during World War II. The Karachays, Ahiska Turks, and Azeris of Dagestan also faced mass deportation at the hands of Stalin during this era. Many Turkic peoples were resettled in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, where many non-native Turkic peoples still reside today.

Labor migration spurned on by economic growth have spread the Turkic diaspora beyond the borders of Turkey, mostly into Western countries such as the United States and Germany. For example, the Crimean Tatar diaspora has settled in Germany and the United States (mostly centered around Brooklyn), as have the Karachays in Germany and the United States (centered around Paterson, New Jersey), and Azeris.

Many Turkic groups have formed diaspora communities in Western countries due to political persecution. As a result of disorganized and sometimes racist resettlement policies, many Ahiska Turks have formed communities in the United States. The Uygurs have been exiled from their homeland by China and have resettled in countries like the United States and Germany while lobbying for the plight of their people.

A phenomenon found within Russia is the migration of subjugated Turkic peoples to Russian economic centers such as Moscow and St. Petersburg. Azeris, Uzbeks, and Volga Tatars are some of many groups that now make up substantial minorities in Russia proper.

However, due to its long legacy as a place of refuge for Turkic peoples, the most common destination for the Turkic diaspora continues to be Turkey.

The pin on disc test is a simple technique to measure the sliding wear and friction properties of thin coatings. The disc is a coated sample and a ball is the pin. The pin material is usually tungsten carbide but can be many other materials such as aluminium alloy. Before starting the test the pin is loaded onto the coated disk with a load set by the user. Once the load is applied the coated disk is rotated at a controlled speed. The friction of the coated surface is measured using a load cell.

Friction versus time or distance can be plotted after the test is complete. The wear rate of the coating is measured using the ball crater technique and simple software.

Dr. Thomas Narvin Lewis (c.1880-1835) is the inventor of the written script for the Bassa language. He was a medical doctor and influential among the Bassa.

He was born in 1879 or 1880 to a chief of the Bassa people. One of approximately 100 children, Thomas' mother died while he was young. His father was advised by a "witch doctor" that this was due to a curse placed by an enemy and, if he did not send Thomas away, the child would suffer the same fate. As a result, Thomas was sent to Monrovia. He received an education from missionaries there but desired futher education.

He embarked for the United States, reportedly struggling for some time before gaining admission to a "college for negroes" in the south. He did well enough in his undergraduate studies to be accepted to the College of Medicine at Syracuse University.

It was during his years there that he devised his system of writing for the Bassa language. Thomas Lewis was living at the home George J. Sager, a Civil War veteran, owner of a knit-goods factory and city alderman. Mr. Sager, who called him "Tommy" remarked that Dr. Lewis "has not only learned medicine, but he has been studying our laws, customs, commerce, banking, and even military tactics. He has invented a written language and is setting the type for a book at Lyman Brothers' printing establishment... He says his duty is to his people in Liberia... I expect to hear great things of Tommy."^[1]

Dr. Lewis graduated from Syracuse University in June of 1907 and returned to Liberia. By 1913 he was living in a large, newly built house in Grand Bassa. While practicing medicine and serving as an intermediary between the Liberian government and the Bassa, Dr. Lewis was also using his primer to teach written language to Bassa children. He reportedly "[took] great pride in their ability to write and read their language with his characters."^[2]

Dr. Lewis ordered a typesetting machine from Dresden, Germany, and continued to produce his primers in Buchanan, Liberia. He died in September, 1935.^[3]

The Blackburn Men's Fastball League or BMFL is a recreational fast-pitch softball league based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Its membership spans the Ottawa-Valley region and includes players from age 18 through 50+. The league is totally volunteer-run and has been active since 1982.

Joseph M. Thompson (born 1967) is a former Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, who also served as House Minority Whip.

Career

Thompson was first elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in 1998, after serving in former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson's administration. He remains a practicing lawyer in Albuquerque, NM. He is also a registered lobbyist in the state.

Criminal History

In 2004 Thompson was arrested on drunk driving charges and charged with a DUI after registering a 0.12 and 0.11 on breath-alcohol tests, above the legal limit of 0.08. His story rose to national prominence after it was reported that hours earlier he had attended a bill-signing ceremony to highlight the state's efforts to crack down on DWI offenders. The incident resulted in Thompson's resignation from public office.

ECS was founded in 1902 in the USA as an international nonprofit, educational organization concerned with phenomena relating to electrochemical and solid-state science and technology. ECS had in 2007 more than 8,000 scientists and engineers members in over 70 countries. It had also about 100 corporate members.

The objectives of ECS are: To advance the theory and practice of electrochemistry, solid-state science, and allied subjects; To encourage research and dissemination of knowledge in these fields; and To assure the availability of adequate training and education of fundamental and applied scientists and engineers in these fields.

Originally named as the American Electrochemical Society, it was renamed as The Electrochemical Society in 1930 to more accurately reflect its international activities and membership. In 2000 it adopted the official acronym ECS, to encompass long tradition of advancing the theory and practice of both solid-state and electrochemical science and technology.

ECS disseminates information through individual membership, corporate membership, student services, technical journals (Journal of the Electrochemical Society and Solid State Letters), on-line Transactions, a quarterly news magazine Interface, books, technical meetings and awards.
