- If your request was declined and you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there.
Art Hafey was born in New Glasgow in 1950. It was his older brother Lawrence that got Art interested in boxing when he was only eight years old. He left school after grade seven to work in a gas station in order to pay for his training. He went on to become the number one contender for the lightweight championship of the world. In 1972, after compiling a 36-1-2 amateur record, he moved to San Diego to begin his pro career. He opened eyes when he knocked out former world bantamweight champion Ruben Olivares in Mexico City. He defeated Olivares again in the rematch and had a split decision in a third. Even though Hafey never achieved the world title, Muhamed Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee called Hafey "the best little man he had ever seen" Art Hafey joins a long list of Nova Scotia boxers who have reached international success in boxing. Art Hafey was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame in 1980.

The original IDGAF Hat was made in 1997. IDGAF has been known to mean I Don't Give A F--k though its not noted on the site. IDGAF has been seen throughout the country. ESPN, MTV, Entertainment TV have all shown stars wearing the clothing line. Shaq O'Neal and other NBA Stars, NFL Stars, Movie Stars, Rock bands, and Rappers have all represented the IDGAF label. The 2007 Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts wore the line at their celebration (see link). Started as an underground clothing line, IDGAF is becoming main stream and is growing at a rapid pace.

[edit] Jack Waldenmaier
Jack Waldenmaier (born April 3, 1951) is an American composer of modern music. He is known for his accomplishments in both the classical and commercial music worlds. He is noted also for championing the work of other living composers; especially his mentor, Lukas Foss. BIOGRAPHY: Jack Waldenmaier was born in Cleveland, Ohio and began his piano and music theory studies at age three, first with his mother and then with Bach scholar, Marion Plumber. He went on to study with composer Lukas Foss at The University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music where he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in 1981. Dr. Waldenmaier then joined the faculty of Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts as a professor of music theory and composition. Currently he serves as President of the Board of Directors for Dallas' new music ensemble, Voices of Change which performs predominantly the music of living composers. He is also President and Executive Producer of Music Bakery Publishing (BMI). WORKS: While Jack Waldenmaier's compositions include music of nearly every genre, most of his works are scored for orchestra. His major works include: Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra (current project) Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestra Concerto for Violin and Orchestra Clin d'Oeil for Soprano and Orchestra Capriccio for Piano, Winds and Percussion Chamber Ballet [edit] Sourceshttp://www.voicesofchange.com/Composers01.htm http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1749500/ http://www.latham-music.com/composers.html http://www.productiontrax.com/composerinfo.php?compid=176 https://mailman.rice.edu/pipermail/tmla-l/2006-May/000220.html http://www.classicaltexas.com/photo-gallery-archive.html http://www.romeoandjulietfilm.com/synopsis.html http://www.musicbakery.com/jack-waldenmaier.htm http://www.amazon.com/Listen-Whisper-Sleep-Guided-Meditation/dp/1885893051 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005AUIO/mabxmusic-20 72.64.94.54 19:41, 11 February 2007 (UTC) |

[edit] ICC International Umpire Panel
The ICC International Umpire Panel in its current form was introduced in April 2002 in tandem with the creation of the ICC Elite Umpire Panel. However, the panel was first introduced in 1994. It was comprised of the two top umpires from each test playing nation (four from England). From this panel the ICC chose one umpire to act as a neutral official in every test match, along side one home umpire. Prior to the introduction of the panel both umpires in test matches were supplied by the home nation, but this often led to controversies and questions regarding the neutrality of umpires. Hence the ICC introduced the international panel to eliminate suggestions of bias. Another advantage of the panel was that the ICC could appoint better umpires to more matches, and this helped to raise the standard of international umpiring. However, the panel only supplied umpires for test matches, with home nations continuing to supply both umpires for one day internationals (ODIs). By 2002, in a bid to increase umpiring standards, the ICC had decided to create a panel of the very best 8 - 10 umpires in the world who would be contracted to the ICC on a full-time basis. The ICC Elite Umpire Panel would now supply two neutral umpires for each test match, and one neutral umpire for each one day match to stand alongside a home umpire. The international panel was rejuvinated, with each test playing nation being allowed to appoint three officials to the international panel (one of whom was restricted to TV umpire duties) who would act as the home umpires in ODIs, and would also cover thrid umpir duties in tests and ODIs. At busy times of the year umpires from the International Panel are required to supplement the Elite Panel, and may be appointed to stand in test matches or ODIs as a neutral official. From here the better performing international panel umpires may earn promotion to the elite panel. The current somposition of the International Panel is:

The skamps is possibly the best upcomig band in 2007. With mad skills and with a tone of groovy stage precence these guys are amazing. A Street punk band straight out of the boonies in Chilliwack they practise in Greendale. They have three oustanding members: Alec the sexy drummer wich enjoys long walks on the beach and making love at midnight, Caitlyn, Bassist and also the one who brings all the punk rock roots to the band and last but not least Reuben, Guitarist and leadsigner. Reuben is the glue that holds the Skamps together writting most of are songs and who lets all other street punkers out their crash at his place to practise their hardcorness. Mama skamp, also known as Betty suplies the skamps with delicious snacks and sometimes meals, she also puts up with fights between Alec and Toni all the time. The skamps will be one of 2007's shinning stars for shure.
