Rumors have been going around of a proposed feature film starring SEGA's mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog.
So far, the only film to be released starring the character was a two-part OVA dubbed "Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie" when released to DVD in the United States.
Sonic has yet to make the jump to the big screen, but SEGA has gotten many piches from various sources over the years.
In 2003, Ken Penders, artist and writer for the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book by Archie Comics, mentioned on his website that he and writer Ben Hurst, approached SEGA with an idea for a CGI-film using elements from the 1993 Sonic cartoon which aired on ABC Saturday Mornings. (dubbed "SatAM" by fans)
While not much progress has been made in Pender's pitch for a Sonic-based film, SEGA-Japan has shown much interest in Pender's pitch for a Knuckles the Echinda based feature. The final say in any Sonic film goes to the President of SEGA-Japan, who is very protective over the copyrights.

[edit] Research Process Automation and Research Development Environments
- This request for creation has been reviewed. The result is below.
- If your request was declined and you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there.
Research Process Automation (RPA) is the automation of tasks in the research and writing life-cycle. This automation is typically accomplished through the use of information technology and can encompass many types of tools including plagiarism detection, search engines, online encyclopedia, e-Learning software, research databases, word processors, and bibliographic management.
The term was coined by James D. Beasley in 2003 while he and a colleague, Jeffery D. Reynolds, developed a software tool they called a Research Development Environment (RDE). RDE was described as an “integrated, multi-function software that enables or facilitates the creation of research work products” across the research process phases “education, research, writing, citation, submission, review, and publication” (Beasley, 2004).
Benefits from RPA and RDE tools may include increased productivity, enhanced focus on higher-level tasks such as concept development and critical analysis (as opposed to repetitive, administrative tasks), and easier communication and sharing of information between research team members or students and their instructors. Another key anticipated benefit is the reduction of internet plagiarism. This possibility was introduced in Beasley’s paper entitled ‘The Impact of Technology on Plagiarism Prevention and Detection: Research Process Automation - A New Approach for Prevention’ at the Joint Information Systems Committee's ‘Plagiarism: Prevention, Practice & Policy Conference, 2004’ at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle upon Tyne U.K. An abstract of the paper is available on the JISCPAS website.
In his paper, Beasley maintains that widely used software tools touted to prevent plagiarism have several limitations and, at best, only detect possible instances of plagiarism after they have occurred. Any preventative effect is dependent on the researcher’s presumed fear of detection and punishment. Beasley argues that a more effective, preventative, approach can be realized by applying RPA and using an RDE. Beasley lists eight main causes of internet plagiarism and three types of plagiarists and describes how the RPA approach can mitigate each of the causes and deter all three plagiarist types.
Unfortunately, it appears that the original RDE software was only produced for a few years and did not achieve widespread adoption or impact in academic circles. This may have been due to a lack of capital investment. Working independently, however, some software vendors have RDE-like features in their products. Thomson ResearchSoft’s Endnote® product, for example, includes search, content organization and archive, manuscript templates, and bibliography and figure list creation.

[edit] Sleeping shark
Although both of these sightings suggest that the Sleeping shark is large, neither compare to the most recent sighting of the shark, this sighting occurred in suruga bay, Japan when a team of scientist where doing research into deep sea sharks. the scientists lowered some scented bait onto the sea floor with a camera attached and waited to see what would happen. after a while a few of the usual deep sea sharks began to appear, but then they suddenly scattered in fright. The scientist where astounded as they saw a giant black mass pass above the camera and then fade into the gloom. the creature was at least 10 times bigger than the other sharks and appeared to measure over 50 meters. after studying the video closely the scientist found that the shark was a larger specimen of the Indonesian sleeping shark. The footage has never been released on the internet, but was shown on the national geographic special, 'Chasing the giant squid', and on the German TV channel Kable 1. one thing that is known about the sleeping shark is that it is a deep sea shark and that it is omnivorous. "The Bridge Across Forever" is a book by Richard Bach. It tells the story of the author as he goes on a journey to discover his "soulmate". He finds her in -- Leslie Parrish, a gifted actress who shares Richard's passion and dreams. Both start off as profesional acquaintance. However this soon develops in love and an intimate friendship. The book is a journey of the author's self exploration and his doubts and hesitations.
The book explores Bach's philosophy and passion for things that matter to him....writing, flying and finding his true love.
The book is an autobiography of sorts. Leslie Parrish was bach's second wife. "The One" was a sequel of this book, which explores Bach and Leslie, now his wife, on a new journey in which they explore their alternate lives.
